Everyone likes to hype the shows they've been too... but what's the WORST show?

only show i wasnt on the floor for. i thought thats the only reason i thought the crowd was bad. It gets mentioned for terrible crowd participation.

as for shows i havent been to

I had a DVD boot for albany 03 which did look kinda boring.. i think the 03 shows were a hit or miss cause of the random sets. but the band seem to rely on the songs flow creating a vibe for the show rather than keeping the energy going that tour.

Poland 07 was short, band weren't on at all, but had no problems with the crowd since I got an inkling of what it'd be like and stayed well away from the front.

Sydney 2 2006 was truly meh. More so than the 3 in 2003. Anyone who thinks the crowd doesn't matter doesn't get how much the band can feed off from the crowd, to give a better performance. Seattle 1 09 was also meh, but not nearly as much as Sydney 2 06.

    Hinny..

I completely forgot about that Poland show! That's how good that one was. Leaky Park.
Sydney 2 2006 is definitely memorable because of Ed's hostility towards the crowd.

I suppose some other bad shows would be a couple of those Sydney 98 shows that were really really short. Don't think anyone was too happy during those shows. Memorable for me because I left to go to the bathroom. You always remember the first time. ;)

I guess OZ gets the best of shows and the worst of shows.

Philly 2 was my favorite night of the 4!

    -No Way
    -Push me, Pull me
-Speed of Sound (First time ever)
    -lukin (with strings)
-Little wing tag (reminds me of the gorge everytime)
    -Garden (original version)

Philly 2 was also the night that the dream to hear every song they have recorded was the strongest. That came crashing down on night 3.

I find it hard to believe that the first Chicago show from last year has gotten mentions in here. The band wore their hearts on their sleeves that night. I certainly don't think the performance was lacking in any way.

No shit man... Only negative from that night was that so many 10cer's ended up w/ not so great seats, but that's it. That was a killer show. I didn't talk to anyone that didn't think it wasn't great.

I haven't been to a bad show yet, although the high heat and humidity added in with being butts-to-nuts with 100,000 other people didn't make for the greatest experience at Lolla '07. Band was good though.

A great show, but at the bottom of my list. Festival crowds suck.

Would have to say my least favorite show I have seen is Birmingham, AL 2003. The show was short, the band/crowd did not seem into it at all, it was pretty cold (not as bad as East Troy 2000).

Chicago 3 was probably the weakest show I've seen.

Not sure how anybody could say Boise 00. That boot is probably my favorite from that tour. I do love the Cincy boot, but compared to alot of the other boots, it seems kinda average. Sweet setlist though.

I was way up in the nosebleeds for Chicago 1 09, and it's close, but I think I prefer it to Chicago 2. Bit of a moody, introspective setlist, but I really dug it and the crowd seemed really into it from where I was.

In regards to there being mostly shows from 03...Every year is gonna have its share, but I haven't noticed more 03 shows than some of the more recent years. At least one of them is pretty disputable, Champaign 03 was a monster show.

Big fan of Albany 2003. Best version of I am Mine, great way to start that show... Nice Alive/Baba combo at the end. People Have the Power, and Rachel! Maybe I liked it because I had a great seat, whatever.

But least favorites.. any of the four Camden/MSG shows from 2008. They just didn't do it for me. Nice to see WMA, but it was kind of a weird version. Just nothing legendary about those shows.

Hershey 2003 was terrible. The band was flat and visibly exhausted from Boston 3 the night before. The crowd was just putrid. Newark 2010 had an incredible set list but there was just something bad about that show. The other 46 were a ok.

im not sure the show was longer than an hour and a half. ed barely spoke, and they flew through the set.

Boise was great i thought, first time I heard Mike play the "Stairway to Heaven" solo during Crazy Mary
  • Wembley 2007.

But I think that's mostly because I can't remember a thing about it, because I was horribly hungover and they never released an official boot.

I left Newark thinking how the set was so great but the soaking wet crowd (rain storm) brought down the energy so much. I still love the boot though.

Funny that Hershey 2003 is getting so much hate...Thats one of my fav boots lol I loved that setlist

I think alot of the 2008 shows were sloppy, band didnt seem as tight as they usually are. Other than that Albany 2003 I think was the shortest set of that tour, and the Toyko 03 show the fans are super quiet, almost sounds like PJ is playing in a empty room

Thought alot of the 2005 tour boots were really good, awesome setlists in 05 too!

Yet another show I have seen get a lot of flack that I thought was awesome. The bd in h, and the sound was pretty good to boot.[/quo
I was at Hartford 06 and left feeling cheating but they more then made up for it at Hartford 08! I thought the 08 setlist was awesome and the Leash for Katie from the Make A Wish Foundation was a great touch and just shows how into causes the band is! Ben Harper was right on at Lolla p07 when he said "The best band in the world!"
