We can not trust liars. Some hearts are just unable to be truthful.
Sad but true. It's ok, we accept some must lie ...

Comes down to the heart. Thankfully most people don't have to lie...
they are real and proud of it. Make decisions that don't require a cover up.
Live a life that is true of heart. Motives pure.

That is where true colors live is in the true heart.
Positively lovely those true colors can be ... like a rainbow spectrum of light!

I have found some lovely people in my life, I have learned much from.
    This is living! :D

    It is, indeed, Chadwick!

How about this for a simple take on truth and god and such: More can be learned from asking the right questions than ever will be found in believing one has all the answers.
I have found the most meaningful answers when I didn't even realize I was asking ...
there are no wrong questions by the way only wrong answers in my opinion,

sometimes one can even hear that buzzer http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNhh0IjcroA

I think that, yonks ago, there was a thead about 'true colours'..... (or rather 'colors'!). Think it may have also gone down a certain path....

Though, as you say, interesting topic. Another thread perhaps? Are we who we really say we are? Might mess with my mind!
    Yes ! I agree!

I have found from listening that some don't want to know who they are ...
like there is something they avoid. I can feel the fear when the subject is close.
If they would only know feeling is the answer, even if painful. Straight up, heart first
if only they would dive in. Then they would know.

That is true... I have learned more about people than God. Whether it is Christianity or Judaism or the spiritual beliefs of an individual, the true aspects of who the person is, comes to the surface. It tends to bring out the true character of the person I am speaking to, rather than the person they wish to portray themselves as.
This so true some are not at all what I thought from how they have portrayed themselves
in the past. Even our last conversation with your baiting, I realized much more about you
and your beliefs and criticism of others.
I knew you used rude tendencies to get your point across and to show off
but I really felt you would be far more open to possibilities
that are changing people everyday. I was sad to see you are not.

    Testing... testing... check.... check...
In my opinion... Knowing God would result in words of acceptance and respect of my unanswered questions. It would be tempered with empathy and understanding of my personal dilemma in struggling with this question. It would not be met with judgement of my character, misconception of my motives, condesending arrogance and general not-very-niceishness.
    ...
    End test.
Not when you consistently call someone bullshit
    really?

    can you be honest?
It is baiting and a challenging to say no one can know God.
Stop pretending please. It's embarrassing for you.
If you wanted to try to know God you would be open to possibilities
    not contrary.

Why do you think you deserve to be treated with respect when you don't
    treat others as so?

My words are sincere, my trying to help you from the heart.
Can you say your words and actions come from the same place?

If so lets try again ;)

we are all a work in progress yes?

Yes. But, it will still be a truth... we will no longer exist, therefore, afterlife does not exist.

Hmm, interesting thought, Cosmo. This could lead to a conversation about being forthright which is sort of a subset of truthfulness which is a subset of truth.
    ...
    It is.
I have had people exalt the greatness of their love for all of God's creations... then, condemn a massive portion of humans because of their belief system being not the same as their own.
Which had lead me to the perception that Religion isn't bad... it's the truths in the people who believe that create the problems. Like, the Rev. Phelps clan... it is their message, not the Christian Religion they claim to represent, that is the basis of their shitheadedness.

i believe we call that hypocrisy cosmo.

Oh my, problems with memory could certainly play a role in the discussion of truth. As I get older I'm more and more wary of saying, "I swear (this or that) happened." Is it true? Did I dream it or read about it or just make it up? :|

age does deteriorate memory to varying degrees.. but in this instance the sheer volume of splendid artworks ive seen since last october is playing a major part... i swear. ;)
