have a beautiful weekend yourself, sir! by the way, where you call home? i'd love to be able to swim outdoors but i sure as shit aint gettin in the muddy ass mississippi river; that fucker is one nasty ass body of water. we used to water ski and boogy board the fucker but that is not swimming traditional swim strokes. again, i am aiming at not ramming a tree branch into my eyes or anus.

I was able to go swimming today. I like to jump in the pool after I do my yardwork because I'm usually overheated and need the hydration. I was worried the pool would be too cold, but it's still okay. (!)

(Since it's September 29th today, this year I can once again say I was able to swim in an unheated pool until the end of September.) 8-)

Do you want to know the funny thing that happened today? I was just stepping into the pool (and I had my glasses and contacts off so everything was fuzzy) and I saw something black sliding across the patio. It caught my attention so I got out and grabbed my glasses...and...it was..a black snake. A damn angry black snake.

I admit I squealed like a housewife on a chair. :oops: :?

Then I realized it was mad 'cuz it couldn't get out of the lanai. So I opened the screen door and agressively PUSHED the twisting snake out with the pool brush. I'm lucky it didn't swing around and bite me. It was clearly pissed about being pushed with that brush!

funny story justam. y'all in florida have a wonderful reptile zone. sometimes i wish i lived there for that reason alone then i realize it's a fucking sauna and then i am thrilled to be somewhere else. heat and me aren't the best pals.

Well, I swam another 45 min. today. Laps, water weights for arms and back and reverse crunches...

Thats my max - after awhile the chlorine gets to me :P

I wish I could swim more ... or at all. Between my regular full-time job (40 hours a week, but 2 hours a day in commuting) and my second job (10+ hours/week teaching swim lessons and coaching swim teach, natch), I'm fairly exhausted. I took up running about a year ago cause I figured I wouldn't need anything special and can do it any time, but even that's been hard to keep up with. :?

Anyone with busy schedules have any tips on sticking with swimming?

checking in is all. put in my 2 miles earlier this morning. love me a sunday swim. probably the best day of the week i have found out. during my swim today as i started on the 2nd half of my swim i had the entire pool to myself so i swam circles switching it up/directions so each side of my body gets the workout of twisting hard to which ever direction im twisting into.

love those buoyant dumbbells. that is how ya fucking swim & get frickin ripped, built up shoulders, arms, back arms, neck, chest, gut & ribs torn, legs & ass all working hard together... good ass shit those buoyant dumbbells. they belong to me... i own them fuckers & teach 'em who is boss
