    Congrats!

I was swimming about 5 years ago, trying to train for a tri, and felt great. Then I fell off the wagon.

I'm going to start again - I'm going to do an Olympic Tri next year - 0.9 miles.

I sometimes take my longboard down to the beach even when there are not waves. I paddle way out and come back. But I do know that swimming a mile cannot be easy, so hats off to you man.

And for the record, I do pee in the sea, but I apologize out loud every time.

I love being in the water, but if I'm working my butt off, I had better be atop a surfboard.

I used to swim 7 miles a day. Gave up a few years ago but will be starting up again. I truly believe it is the best exercise that exists. I was also a lifeguard and swim instructor throughout college (and made good money off it).

My boyfriend is a former olympic swimmer and has 2 gold medals to show for it! I on the other hand do not like to swim at all, but I spend a lot of time with swimmers, so I kind of feel like one of them.

Yeah I just asked him how far he would swim a day for training and it worked out to somewhere between 8-10 hard miles a day, seven days a week. Now if I could just get him to take out the trash.

I love floating in the pool after I've gotten all hot and tired from riding my bike. It feels like meditation and-or some kind of heaven. :D
