  • Ok well the full song is a shit load better than what the clip let on, so I'm very happy :D Sounds great, very excited for the album.

Not a huge fan. It's the single so I'm hoping for better things from the album, but it all sounds a little too Backspacer-ish for me.

I agree, the clip just has the standard riff and leaves all the quirkiness out. Better than I expected.
  • Wow, I should be checking this thread more often, eh? I didn't know there were clips of some new songs out there.
  • The song has now been pulled...

  • really cool song. kinda like my wave. the chorus is okay though nothing great. however, the end bridge that starts at "kilos through keyholes" is BRILLIANT now THAT sounds like trippy awesome echoey sg from badmotorfinger or down on the upside. more of that please!!

Thanks for link! Well it's a lot better than Live to Rise, but I'm not sure if I like it. Hopefully it will grow on me?!

There's the super deluxe version which is 2CD, DVD, 3LP plus other stuff. But I don't think there's a 7 CD version.
  • In regards to Been Away Too Long, it really has a Down on the Upside kind of feel to it. I'm digging it upon first listen.

There is one for sale on ebay for 59.99 but it says 7 cds. Are you aware of the Telephantasm vinyl quality? Iv'e read the quality is poor.

I don't own it myself, so can't really comment, but I heard it was meant to be poor too!

Musically it reminds me more of PJ than SG! It has very Ole-esque run downs etc. I think it would fit quite nicely onto Binaural with songs like Gods' Dice and Evacuation!

Love it WAAAAY more for Matty's kick ass drum grooves then the vocals...
Looking forward to this album, hope the whole thing isn't as over-produced as "Been Away Too Long"

You're welcome! I enjoyed this song and I agree, Been Away Too Long is better than Live To Rise. For this to be their first single for an actual album in like 16 years, I believe its a sign of things to come on King Animal and its quite impressive for any band to do that. Been Away Too Long is a good song, I don't think its great, but there is 12 other songs on the album.

Still haven't made my mind up about the single. It's definitely better than Live To Rise though and it is growing on me.

The best thing is it inspired me to crank Superunknown earlier :D
