    I already own the first edition DVD & Blu-ray Deluxe Box Sets. But when I heard "repackaged" , I just have to pick up the "new" DVD & Blu-ray Deluxe Box Sets. It kinda feels like ....

    It's all good. Wish though they included some bonus footage on these discs. I understand not so much on the DVD's storage capacity but they could of done it on the Blu-ray discs.

    Santos: Does 'same video content' mean that it's the same sub-par transfer to Blu-Ray that it was last time around?

    you mean 30 $ extra ...i think was 69 the bluray-59$ the dvd
    i bought it too the 1st edition,the dvd version...sure sound bad that we paid more..
    but to tell u the truth,exept that is always like that at merch when u buy it..
    you never know where is the good deal(for exable i paid 40$ shipping cost for ames book and after a few moths they offer it here at 10c half price and 11$ only shipping cost)
    look at the forum.(same as facebook,i post the sale there too..)..in this thread,at petiton thread..
    so many people -fans are happy..they will now have the chance to see it....well..fuck it,,i prefer peope be happy,and we lost a few bucks..next time maybe we are the lucky ones. :)

    It depends on the source material a lot. The stuff shot on video won't benefit nearly as much as the stuff shot on film. It's why they can release a 1930s film on blu-ray and it will look 100x better than your favorite 80's TV show (shot on videotape) fifty years later. PJ20 is a mix. In a documentary like this you can always tell how something was filmed. There's other factors (grain, noise reduction, etc) but it's almost as good a transfer as possible. The studio did really well.

    I dont know about this explanation, early in the thread I asked if anyone knew if the bonus disk had been fixed. It does have some issues on recently shot material that make some songs unwatchable, seems like nothing to do with the source material, rather an issue with the transfer process, from memory the Bushleager and the Chop Suey footage is really bad in particular. For the untrained it seemed like issues that should not be on the disk, Ive not seen anything like it on the other 600+ Bluray disk I own..Hopefully its fixed as it was discussed at the time of the first release that there were these issues.

    The worst part about this is, when I saw the main page I thought that we were finally getting PJ20 concert bootlegs. Such a tease.

    I've owned the deluxe blu ray for a year and still haven't found time to open it to watch the extras.

    Ummm..you are comparing technology with a DVD/Bu Ray. One that was advertised as "Limited" no?

    The truth is I am very happy that those that want it can get it. But, I still feel a bit ripped off. In the grand scheme of things it's really not a big deal. Just very strange of 10C to re-release and then drop the price. I can;t wait to get my Benny Hall LP set for $5!!!!!

    you could be right. I never watched the bonus footage you're talking about. The main feature is a very good transfer though (as is Water on the Road)

    Seriously though, is it worth dropping another $30 to get The Kids are 20 and The Fans are Alright even if I have PJ20 already? Are they that good, or should I just get The Kids are 20 on iTunes??

    sell or trade in your single disc if you want more of a discount. You'll get 5-10 bucks for it.

    I'm in the group who missed out the first time, and who are awfully glad this is coming out. After Music Midtown this weekend, it will give me something else (along with Soundgarden's new album) to look forward to in November. Thanks, PJ & 10C!
