Demetrios is from Canada and pays less shipping charges than many 10C members living in the lower 48 states, the cheapest rate I got for a DVD was 5 USD for US to Argentina...

I would bet that anyone complaining right now could still sell their first edition version for enough to get their money back from buying the original, buy the new version, and still have plenty of money for a nice dinner.

put it on ebay and I'd bet you get that. You may not get $300 like before, but I would be surprised if the ebay sale price of the first edition ever dropped below $70 or however much they originally paid for it. A lot of unreasonable anger over a disc.

totally strange... since goods are sent from San Bernardino, CA, maybe someone who lives in CA can explain why a new yorker pays 29.99+shipping, and someone who lives in CA pays 29.99+taxes+shipping... the only thing I can think of is they may pay VAT within the same state, but I don't know... anyway, they still pay more for shipping which is weird...

Yes, really. If you are concerned about your original investment, that is a solution that will get you back that $40 and likely more. It can't even really be considered flipping anymore given that it's been a year since release and there is now a new version available for purchase.
Like many of the others involved in this discussion, I don't really see the issue. What you were originally sold was a specific limited edition box set of the movie. This set is different than the one they sold a year ago. Despite the content of the discs being the same, the set as a whole is different.
If they literally sold the exact same thing that had previously been billed as limited, I would see your issue. Movies are repackaged and resold all the time. That original packaging still has some value for some people.

I'll just be mad at myself for making a large purchase and having to wait until Friday to be able to charge it. I'll die if I miss out on this again ... maybe someone is buying an extra dvd to sell at cost?

After missing out on the original deluxe edition I purposefully didn't buy the "regular" PJ20 hoping this day would come. Can't wait to see the bonus features.
