    SECOND ALBUM OF 2012

    Neil Young
Neil Young & Crazy Horse have announced they will release their second album this year in October, entitled Psychedelic Pill. Similar to Americana, full length videos for each of the songs will be available and previewed, and a full fidelity version of the album will be released on Blu-ray and will include all the videos. As previously announced, the band will be touring this Fall. See all the dates below.

Oh yea I did it with Pink Floyd too. I got halfway through Zep and was just too bored :?. Sorry to all the Led Zep fans .

    Apology not accepted.

I could definitely get through Meddle-Final Cut, but I'm not sure I'd make it through the first few Floyd albums.

Just check out the Walk Like a Giant jam on youtube. I'm sure that is one of the songs and it will probably sound like that.

I wish he was playing near me but oh well

To be honest I haven't got Americana on vinyl yet so I couldn't say (I got the blu ray for the videos of each song). I know there were downloads for the Archives box if you bought the dvd or bluray, but I can't remember if I've had any others though

Haven't bought any of his newly released albums, but there was nothing with the reissues or Massey Hall out of what I bought.

Anyone else think that "Ragged Glory" is the album that Pearl Jam probably got its name from?

I seem to recall Jeff or someone saying on PJ20 how they got their name because they went to a Neil Young show and they loved how the show had these long, drawn out "jams."

Haha...I have no clue if this is that album, but boy, Neil and the CH boys really rock on this one. Every song is like 10 minutes long and filled with like 15 sweet solos. In short, the album really "jams."

  • With Americana coming out in a few weeks and sounding rather promising based on the first two songs we've heard, I thought it was a good time to start a Neil Young thread. I haven't seen one on here.

What's everyone's favorite stuff by Uncle Neil?
Unfortunately Americana did not do it for me.....oh well. He is now releasing another album in a couple of months too. I'mm seeing him twice this year so I am really pumped.

    5. Live Rust
    4. Everybody Knows this is Nowhere
    3. Reacto
    2. Mirrorball

The post also says that the blu-ray will have videos for every song - at 27+ minutes, Driftin' Back will be longer than some TV shows! Really looking forward to these jams, the live video of Walk Like A Giant is great.

Journeys and Waging Heavy Peace are due out soon too so this may be an expensive couple of months as a Neil fan! :)
