Buddy asked me to go to the game today. Met them down there...boom, suite with an open bar. Good times. Love me some Sunday drinking.

Damn. Wish I'd known - was down there from 11 till like 7. First in FDR, then all over the ballpark, and then Bar Mall.

By the way, this is the first time in 8 years of going to the ballpark that I ate something from Bull's other than the pulled pork sandwich. I gotta say the sampler isn't that bad of a price relative to everything else down there.

Damn, dude. I thought you were out of town this weekend or some shit. We went down around noon, drank in the lot then headed in. Was going to head over to Xfinity after but had a ride home so hopped on that.

Yeah, I've gorged on the dollar dogs, though they've become more rare nowadays.

    .

yeah, all the people going to games dressed as blue seats leads me to believe we will see more DD games next year. so that's one positive from this shitbox season.

Going to renew my tix for next year. Seats are too good to give up and I'm a gluten for punishment with the phils. Have a few people going in on the seats with me so I don't have to worry about selling/giving away games that I can't attend. Should have 5 or 6 games for sale (2 seats) if anyone is interested in buying games for '13 just let me know (face value of course).

Nice. Yeah, that's the positive I'm coming out of with this season - people ditching their season tix. That way I can move more behind home plate, or down more, or get another plan for more playoff tix.

if this team didn't get hamels done amaro would have to be put in the witness protection program by now. He is such a beast

Saw the last 3 innings - that was fun to watch. The Marlins were hopeless against him.

    How are the phillies doing?

how many games behind are they?

I'd look it up myself, but it would be so nice if you can just tell me instead...

    thank you in advance

Ah, man. Yeah, dude. Didn't know you finished it. Thoughts? Definitely my favorite show ever. I'm on to Breaking Bad now but all caught up, which kind of sucks. Season 3 is great.

breaking bad is the next one for me as soon as i have the time.

the wire is phenomenal. i'd agree on it being the best show ever. for me its 1 and 1a with the sopranos. it was so consistently good...however i really felt it dropped off quite a bit in season 5. just wasn't very believable to me.

thinking of getting into treme at some point too.

Breaking Bad is really good. Not on the level of The Wire for me, but a great show.

Good stuff. I think it is. Yeah, I hear you and The Sopranos was great. I really liked the journalism aspect of it, as I am a huge fan of writing and reporting but yeah, it could have been done better and a lot of shit in that season was tough to believe. Dude would have been locked up for his scheme.

I'd like to watch Treme too. Can't be bad since it's David Simon and I am really interested in New Orleans.

I'm assuming there's no reason for him to be on the roster next year. He's out of options and I don't know if anyone would take a chance on him if they DFA'd him.

totally agree. even with the lack of depth they have in the OF he has no discernable value.

it's not easy to screw up two plays in one inning the way he just did. I know he's not a CFer, but that was brutal

couple of cheaper options I want them to go after this offseason are angel pagan in CF and jeff keppinger at 3B. Then use some money on a corner OF with some pop and bullpen help...lots and lots of bullpen help

Word. I find the Rendell shit pretty tough to believe. Just because he was an associate of the guy and given the size of Philadelphia, I would imagine just about everyone was an associate of him, doesn't mean he knows all that. But yeah, that is some sick fucking shit.

I'd like the Pagan move, but not with Melkballs getting nipped, I'm sure SF will throw some money at him. Keppinger would be decent. Rolen's out there - I'd be down with that. Let that pieceshit retire with the team he started with, blah blah blah.

As for bullpen - Mike Adams is out there? Other than one key piece they add, I think they're gonna throw these young bucks out there again.

Eh, I don't want rolen. he can't stay on the field. My first choice would be to trade for chase headley, who I love as a player. prob a pipe dream though.

Adams would be sweet. I don't mind them going with a mostly young, cheap pen...just need a couple of vets to stabalize things. madson would be awesome, but I think cincy has an option on him. gotta figure they will bring him back and move chapman to the rotation

Yeah, but the whole shit about that DA disappearing and his car ending up in the Susquehanna, lap top destroyed, and said hard drive "missing", makes a lot of sense now. I mean, isn't it weird how that's NOT a bigger story this entire time?

Yeah, you have been on that angle for a while. I don't know. That would get a lot of press and make a lot of money for a lot of news outlets. If there was any hint of a connection to Sandusky, I am sure they would be all over it. That dude was also apparantely working on some pretty high profile drug cases at the time with some pretty serious people. Never know though, especially with the mob angle in this.
