I was there both nights: it was absolutely, freakishly awesome!!
The first night I was up at the front (thanks Ten Club!!) and I had seats for the second. Both shows were unbelievable...
But what was up with Release yesterday? You can even see it a bit on youtube even: Ed gets frustrated, doesn't really get to the high notes, jumps backstage and talks to the roadies and when he comes back on stage signals to the band to end the song...
Was is the lighting on the side that bothered him before (he took a swing at one of the lights with his mike stand early on in the show, during State)? The rest of encore one was played with backing lights and the lights from above only.

This.
I'm still not quite sure what happened last night. I thought the first night couldn't be topped easily but yesterday? My god. My f*cking god. Holy sweet motherf*cking god.
With every gem that appeared grew the feeling that I had died and went to heaven. It was only my 5th and 6th PJ concert ever but I don't think I'll see another one that will top this. I got home at 12:15am, but I couldn't sleep til around 3am, and my head is still half an inch short of exploding.
Thank you PJ, these were 2 nights I will remember for a VERY VERY long time...
My 25th show and the first time I got to hear Wash. Now, if you'd told me that I'd also hear Release, Bugs, Alone, Glorified G, Footsteps and Crown of Thorns in the same night, I would say you've had one spliff too many!
Damn!

This is why I love this band and I'm sure many of you do to. Release, Hail Hail, and Footsteps in the 1st encore?!?! My head would have exploded! I can't wait for this boot.
yeah i never post on a fanview when i wasnt there but this is such an amazing setlist - i had to make an exception!
Holy Cow (HC voice) they knocked that shit out of the park!
My 25th show and the first time I got to hear Wash. Now, if you'd told me that I'd also hear Release, Bugs, Alone, Glorified G, Footsteps and Crown of Thorns in the same night, I would say you've had one spliff too many!
Damn!
Yes This!!!
Was my 17th show and completely amazing... Incredible atmosphere from 3 songs in or so.... Ed smashing lightds at the start made me smile...
One thing on my mind was standing next to Jeff outside Pancakes Amsterdam in the day -- turned the street and there he was in conversation with an American couple... Been all over Europe following the guys so thought we would wait for his conversation to finish before a quick hello and thank-you to him...but NO!!!!!
Missed our chance as he went straight into the little shop to eat.... Damn!! I'm too British sometimes...keep wishing I'd just shouted out or something but didn't want to be rude....
Ah well --- Yesterday was the most incredible of all the PJ shows I have seen.... Reminded me of no other show... Prague 06 // Copenhagen 07 // Reading / Astoria all amazing in their intensity and individuality but Amsterdam 2 was utterly unbelievable... Release as an encore was beautiful...and Crown of Thorns too ... and Bugs!!!
Two great nights! Tuesday was rocking, sometimes a bit chaotic; they looked like a band who where on stage after a long time and couldn't wait anymore. In their enthousiasm they lost focus a bit. Eddies voice seemed to me not on top. Still a great show.
But Wednesday was different. The band played intens, driven and focused. Eddies voice perfect. They lifted the ZiggoDome of the ground!! With a beautiful setlist! Even a huge biker who sat beside of me and wasn't reacting, came loose eventually. Some people started to cry when Release being played! What a great night. My two kids loved it (their first PJ concert!!!).
Brilliant!! Absolutely brilliant!
Not just the rare set list, but the overall atmosphere, the ZiggoDome and the performance of the band.
I’m a bit familiar with the song statistics and have been at a handful of concerts, but having Wash, SOLAT, I Got Shit, Deep, Bugs(!), Alone (as Ed said: for the serious collector!), Footsteps, Crown of Thorns and Sonic Reducer on one night is just insane. I was there on both nights and the combination basically has at all. There were some all-time favourites on night 1 (Why Go, Small Town, Even Flow, Nothing Man, Last Kiss, Porch, Black, Rocking and Indifference), and night 2 had Animal, Daughter, Dissident, Once, Better Man, Release, Alive, Yellow Ledbetter, and the unforgettable Rearviewmirror.
But what was up with Release yesterday? You can even see it a bit on youtube even: Ed gets frustrated, doesn't really get to the high notes, jumps backstage and talks to the roadies and when he comes back on stage signals to the band to end the song...
I noticed that as well. First I thought he was pointing to someone, but nothing really seemed to happen afterwards.
