I unfortunately expected this
Metallica with a much better surrounding lineup only got somewhere around 30,000 this past weekend in Atlantic City. the crowds for this BudFest are not going to be impressive i don't think.0 -
81 Needing a ride to Forest Hills and a ounce of weed. Please inquire within. Thanks. Or not. Posts: 58,276i think there are going to be a ton of tix for both days once they annouce who is playing when81 is now off the air0

I'll be partying on my rooftop and heading over mid-afternoon, no need for all the other stuff. Don't really give a shit about anything other than the headliners and even if they announce any decent names, I still probably won't care enough to go over early. Will be a blast of a weekend though.0

I'm the same way but mine is due to a tight wallet right now because of the economy or maybe because I just don't want to pay the outrageous amounts from beer vendors.
Though I am thinking about checking out the pre-party at The Public House. It will be Labor Day Weekend so the city should be fairly empty, that's one of the good things about Philly in the summer, most crowds are down at the shore.0 -

Yeah, I hear you. I may check that out and Bishops Collar is right there and i dig that place, so I am sure I will put in some time there too. I don't think I'll be interested in buying expensive beers all day either. No reason to if you aren't incredibly interested in the other bands.0 -

I like the Bishop's Collar too, good spot. I like the idea of music festivals and such but I'm there to see PJ play at the Art Museum steps period. I hope Eddie brings the boxing gloves out again like he did at the final night of the Spectrum. Maybe he can where the Apollo Creed Red, White, & Blue boxing trunks since this is a sequel
They will be playing Rocky on the big screen at the Art Museum steps tomorrow night, they play movies at outdoor venues throughout the city in the summer. I'm thinking they need to play PJ20 one night before the show for us.0 -

Don't plan on seeing too much. I went to the Live Aid concert there a few years ago. You couldn't see anything cause there was so many people. They had these huge video screens, so you could watch those. At one point we were sitting on the roof of the port a John's so you could at least see the stage. Did that early in the day before the fumes kicked in. Also tried to make my way up front, but decided against that after watching other people who were trying to do the same thing get punched in the face.
I've travelled all over the states to see PJ and they will be in my back yard in Sept...but sadly I won't be there. Just can't deal with the venue and the line up provides no incentive.0 -

that live 8 show had something like 500,000 people and was free. this show won't have 1/10 of that size of the crowd (as long as they do security correctly). granted i don't expect to get to close since i'm not showing up too early but i don't think the crowd will be all that bad.0 -
definitely not looking forward to this rapper festival crowd mentality.
i hope to be able to see and hear though
only hope is no one there really cares about pj as much as we do
but that is unlikely right?peace,

i could be way off but i suspect there will be less people for PJ than at a normal Camden show, especially if they play the 2nd night. for one plenty of PJ fans on here have said they won't be going, it's a holiday weekend, and i don't think too many Jay-Z fans are coming back and staying until 11 or 12 the 2nd night (if 2nd night is in fact true). as i stated above as long as security is ok and they keep free-loaders out (which i still don't know how they are going to do that) this shouldn't be too bad. i've been to the July 4th show before and that is a crowd at least double or 3x the size this wil be.0 -

Hope you're right. I've been to some huge shows in the parks in Philly back when they used to have them all the time. It was for the most part under control and enjoyable. This one though, well.....
I just hope you're right. See you there!peace,
