Will I be the only PJ there on Saturday. I do understand that times are tough and it would be good to unload the ticket for some cash but I still want to see Jay-Z live. I've heard he's really good live though haven't been to many rap concerts as I've always felt it only works recorded with all the samples and sound effects.

My wife and I saw Jay-Z live a couple years ago, and it was a heck of a show, with a live backing band and a great light/video setup. Can't wait to see him again.

  • The addition of Chris Cornell is certainly a welcome one! The timing works very well for the Wishlist Pre Party which will be the same day at 1pm at the Public House. We're getting great support from the management there and have been getting some nice donations for the raffle as well. Don't forget The Public House has a full menu so you're welcome to come early for lunch. I'll get there a little before noon for lunch and to set up. You don't need a ticket to the show to attend this party so if you have friends or family in the area, bring them along!

I'm hoping to post back shortly with an update on the posters and some additional donations (from the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies!).

As usual, you can always use this link for the most up to date information on the party and you're always welcome to email me with questions or suggestions.

I was nervous too, but as GivenToJam pointed out, they sent 2 separate tickets, so the StubHub tix are legit. Just printed mine out! :)

Im an idiot and payed 11$ to ship a hard ticket to my house.... wht the f did i do that?! :fp:

I think you're better off with the hard-ticket IMO. I don't trust the at-home printed tickets. I just think the printed link could be sent to too manny people. I've read horror stories when people got to the show, ther ticket was NO good, and that's because someone's printed ticket(the same ticket) was already scanned in.
    Aaaaand now I'm nervous :?

Philly locals...what's the best way to get to this? I assume park up 76 and train it in? Is there a better train route.

Always in and out of Philly, but I don't think I want to drive in this weekend and I've never had to use the mass transit.

    Thanks

    eh. florida sucks anyway.
  • I thought I read somewhere that you can buy a one day pass for the MIA fest. However, when I went to the site this morning, it said no one day passes are available. Does anyone know if they are planning to sell one day passes? If so, could you provide the link?
    Thanks! :)

I didn't really think about that when I did it, but that is a good point. The decision was more because I didn't want to download/print the ticket at work and that I like the look and feel of the hard tickets better

I will be taking PATCO in from New Jersey to the last station. Then walking the rest of the way, which turns out to be about 15 blocks. Not a big deal going in, but i am weary about after the show. I am also worried that I might need to leave to catch the last train before the set is over... :? But im not going to drive in because i think that would be worse..
