There are plenty of festivals with even worse lineups. You can't compare a first year fest to the powerhouses that are Bonnaroo, Coachella, All City Limits etc.

They got two MAJOR headliners (even if a lot of people here dont like Jay Z) and that is enough to carry the rest. If you're a fan of indie, which I am, there are some great acts to see!

Great post! Totally agree. I kinda wish I was going to be there on Saturday too, lot of cool acts I'd like to check out.

Very happy with the main set for PJ's night.
    Go Birds!!!!
  • I love that Pearl Jam is playing on Sunday and I am excited about the addition of Chris Cornell, The Hives and Run DMC. This is going to be a great weekend of music.
  • I also like the fact that this announcement was made on TUESDAY

so according to the way they are listed on the MIA site, it looks like they are separated into the 3 stages that way?

So PJ, Cornell, and Jill Scott play main stage and Run DMC play 2nd stage? It would be cool to see Run DMC but I plan on parking myself by the main stage all day Sunday. Oh well, hopefully I can hear 8-)

Anyone only wanting to go Sunday should look on the message boards of bands playing Saturday..perhaps people may be looking to sell their Sundays at a loss.

I think the bands are listed based on their billing status, and not on what stage they will appear.

Philly locals...what's the best way to get to this? I assume park up 76 and train it in? Is there a better train route.

Always in and out of Philly, but I don't think I want to drive in this weekend and I've never had to use the mass transit.

    Thanks

I'm curious to see if some of PJ show up during Chris solo set this time. Maybe join him from some Soundgarden songs.

I have seen Hunger Strike now 3 shows in a row (twice with Chris Cornell). If I can get it to 4... that sounds like an unbeatable record :D

Just realized that. Thats a bummer.

I've seen them 7 times already but they are a really fun band especially for a festival.

Not disappointed at all! CC, The Hives & RUN DMC are all awesome additions. The possibility of a TOTD performance happening would be a first for me and so freaking welcome. Overall the lineup is very solid. Jay-Z, D'Angelo, Miike Snow and Passion Pit alone make Saturday a pretty kick ass day of music as well.

Okay now that was worth waiting for!!! PJ AND Chris and MAYBE Temple of the Dog, and who else is playing -- oh yeah, WHO THE HELL CARES??? :D:D:D:D I am a very happy girl!!

So now the Saturday tix can go on StubHub, reasonably priced so hopefully they go, not looking to make a killing but would be nice to recoup some of that $99 early bird cost
