Jeter gets his 3,100th career hit. Has it been mentioned that Jeter is awesome?

Cheap home run and the wheels fell off. I'm really pulling for Hughes but in both starts it was deep count after deep count. Gotta be better with 2 pitchers coming up soon.

I remember Rizzuto a little bit from 1996, the first year I started watching. It was great to hear him say "Holy cow!"

    Grew up on these commercials.

    Only 7.5%!! Ha!

Tough game today... especially when I have a buddy in Cali who is an Angels fan!
If there were no Angels would there be no sin?

I would like to see him get full seasons under his belt. But it's hard with this team and win now what have you for me lately mentality.

That was a bomb. I think that was the first upper deck home run in the new stadium. I could be wrong.

This is fucking stupid. If they are going to wear old school uniforms for the 100th anniversary, they should wear the ones they wore 100 years ago, not some made up bullshit to sell more jerseys. Those look nothing like what they worn then.

Edit: I am confused by this and need to look into it a little more. I didn't think the interlocking NY was part of the uniform until the 30's since I don't believe Ruth ever wore the NY while playing but looking at some pictures it looks like the Highlanders did.

Edit: Yeah, I'm an idiot. It looks like the Highlanders did have the NY. The New York was adopted later and the interlocking NY wasn't permanently on till the 30's
