Get well Eddie. I am recoverying from a torn tendon in my right arm (8 weeks now). Very frustrating to not be able to use the right hand and have to rely on others to do almost everything. Pearl Jam has helped me get through my misery. I wonder what music helps Ed get through these tough times. I hope Ed makes a full recovery and does everything he is supposed to, so he is good as new. I can relate to the frustration of putting your life on hold while recoverying. :(

While I'm certain that PJ-anything is off the table this year, let's keep in mind that Ed doesn't NEED to play guitar during a PJ show. There are still a TON of songs he doesn't play on and for me...him not playing has some real advantages.
Wow...what a bummer. Back issues in general can be really, really painful and can effect other areas of the body...as is the case here. But better to rest and heal than push too hard.

I hate to hear someone with back issues as I've had them too for 5 years now, still need more surgery probably, though I always wonder how much of mine is mental as they say as I have been quite lost these years as well.
As bummed as we all are I can only imagine how upset Ed must be over having to postpone. He clearly wanted to wait until the last possible minute in case he was better. Sorry to hear it.
BTW AZ is amazing weather in early Nov...those of you that couldn't make it for April can take advantage in six months.
