I was taking pictures of flowers in my back yard this afternoon. Penny did not like me focusing my attention on something besides her and came over to talk to me about it:

I had to stop for a while and make a big fuss over her:

Penny is so cute. She deserves a little more face time around here

    Yes, she is Miss Personality.

I'd like to take more pictures of her but for some reason she doesn't like the camera. Whenever I get it out she slinks away. I don't know what the deal is. :?

The only reason I got away with taking her picture yesterday is I was already snapping pictures and she came over to talk to me about it.

I thought you all would enjoy this article. See it isn't *just a dog* when we lose our beloved companions. I personally think the authors dobe died from exactly what I lost my Petey to. Fluid filled lungs in Dobes is DCM, and Congestive Heart Failure, often misdiagnosed by vets how don't know about hereditary Dobe DCM.

Funny how they are with cameras.
Tilly doesnt mind the camera at all but Millie would drop head and go the other way dunno why.
I got a few pics of her on my ipad cos she didnt recognise that as a camera before she went to sleep..
The quality isnt that great tho .. just funny how they know...

I was wondering if I could get some advice from all of you dog lovers, I appreciate any info you might have! I have a Maltese/Shih Tzu mix and he's almost 2 years old. We took him for his yearly vaccines this past Monday and he's been very lethargic all week. He seemed better on Wednesday and even ate a lot of his food, but yesterday he was sleeping all day and didn't eat a bite. He normally loves to play when we get home from work and is very energetic, but this week he's gone straight up into our bed to sleep. We called our vet and he said just to give him some baby aspirin and he should be fine.

Of course I'm worrying myself sick over this, is this normal after their shots?

No it's not normal. I personally have a HUGE issue with veterinarians doing annual vaccinations. They are NOT necessary. I give my dogs puppy vaccinations and then after that if needed, I do titers(for training classes or boarding) to check their protection level. With Rabies which is mandated by law, I waited until my current dog was 1 before giving him his first dose, and now next week he will get a Mercury free 3 year vaccination, and his holistic vet said that after that he shouldn't need another shot ever again. I personally owned a dog who suddenly developed Epilepsy the week he had his 3 year routine vaccines, he ended up dying from seizures at 6 years old. I have a friend who's healthy 3 year old lab had his annual booster and rabies done the same day, he went into a auto-immune response and ended up being PTS a couple weeks later after thousands of dollars trying to save him. It was from the vaccines. We both use the same vet, and he never gives two vaccinations on the same day now. I hope your baby boy is on the mend soon, sending good vibes to him. Here is a link for vaccination info. http://www.healthypetjournal.com/defaul ... abid=17929

Just a side note...I also feed raw, and don't put any chemicals on or in my dog. I've been blessed with a lot of wonderful dogs in this life, unfortunately the last 3 ended up sick and dying young...as most of you already know, because of this I've researched far too much, :? and now Monty will hopefully live a long uneventful healthy life.
