My only question: Why was money spent to join a fan club and then actually buy tickets if not a fan????????????? All for an experiment that meant shit??!

Both fan clubs have their pros and cons. When it's comes to ease of ordering tickets for shows, it's a huge plus for the Warehouse and an even bigger minus for the Ten Club.

    Well said.

But wrong. It only appears that way because of how many shows there are to choose from. If it was a 10 show arena tour and not 40+, I would imagine it would be a very different story.

I don't care how many shows they play in a given tour, unless Pearl Jam is going to play 5 shows in each of Boston, Philadelphia, New York, and Chicago, servers are going to crash. For all we know, they may crash with 10 shows in each city. Have an ordering period and guess what - no crashes.

You should care, because that is the problem with their current ticket sale program. They have way too many fan club members to be playing 10-12 show tours.

That right there is about a total of 20,000-30,000 total pairs available to sell. How many members do you think are going for those. If there were 4 times as many available don't you think you'd have a better chance of getting tickets?

You are missing the point. Pearl Jam can play 1 show or 10 shows or 100 shows on a given tour. The DMB ticketing system is much easier and much better in each scenario.

I don't really care either. I mean, you're going to tell the band they need to play more shows? Sure- we all wish that. But I think we should be happy and grateful they're still putting out music and playing shows. And I'll never understand why people don't think that is enough.

Every fan club has its pros and cons, like someone said. I would bet Sawyer's money that 10C is not just sitting there saying to hell with ticketing, we'll just keep it as it is- as evident with their latest endeavor with Crowd Surge.

the ten club issue isn't that way for every show. Eddie's shows, yes , because the venues are so small. outside of that it seems as though the only other problem spots are shows in new york and maybe boston? i simply just choose to not go to those shows to avoid the difficulty. yeah i know everyone wants to go to the garden to see them, as would i someday, but there is so many other places to see them and the place with least club members is better seats for all. maybe if people would be willing to travel other places to see them they would play different cities
    nothing as it seems.....

Actually DMB will be adding shows, almost every band does. If you don't believe that join Facebook and you will see shows added for almost every single band that is touring.

I don't know where people get the idea that Pearl Jam is the only band who adds shows to tours.

In fact I can guarantee that your new favorite Fan Club will be adding shows to that tour also.

Why is this important? Honestly does it make any difference at all if you hear it somewhere else?

I heard about DMB shows before the announcement and I'm not even a fan. Radio stations always leak shit and always will.

I also heard about Jane's Addiction shows before the tour was announced. It happens all the friggin time. If you took your head out of the Pearl Jam balloon every once in a while you would know this.

Why start a thread about stuff that is a pressing issue. There's nothing new in this thread except more proof of how much of a joke you are. This is what bugs me: I read your thread about how you were selling your stuff at a higher price to help with the cost of your mom's medical bills. Even though people jumped all over you, I did feel bad because that is a horrible thing and NO ONE should have to go through that. No matter how much money a family has, medical bills can be expensive. However, you come on here to start a conversation that has been had many times over, and then sit here and explain how for your "experimental" purposes you forked over money to join a fan club- of a band you admittedly do not like- and then paid more money to buy tickets to a show- of a band you do not like. You only did this to prove NOTHING to NOBODY. And you sat here with some story about how you needed to make money from selling things to help pay for medical bills and that's why you did it. That is so fucked up.

It's 2012, you can plan a trip in 2 hours, even overseas(flight, hotel and rental car) and I will even give you an extra day to find a babysitter if you need one. Other than that you don't need more time.

Still someone overpricing items on here to help with medical costs(and trust me I know that sux) but yet has enough spare cash around to spend $30 on a membership as an experiment is pretty ridiculous.

And really no one knows what those bills are like until they have to go through it and your little experiment really doesn't look good.
