He may be referring to the ease in which you can log in and actually place orders for tickets. You may not necessarily get them but it is a really nice set up and no need to refresh and refresh and wait around online... This is my first year as a member here so I can't directly compare but it was a whole lot easier than getting Red Sox tickets!
I managed to get Red Sox/Yankees tickets at Fenway for this July thru the Sox ticket lottery. I've never been to Fenway before so I'm really excited to see the game. Not sure if I'll be wearing too much Yankees paraphernalia though
I wear my Yankees stuff there all the time. Totally different scene there than 10 years ago.
To stay on topic, my buddy posted this on Facebook 10 minutes ago. Kinda funny...
"Seniority in the DMB warehouse means absolutely nothing. Complete joke."0 -
Seniority only means something here if you manage to get tickets.0

no, not a fan of the band....though I did manage Alpine tickets....pavillion too and I joined in January as an experiment. Anyway, there were four series of shows to choose from based on the date. It is somewhat a lottery and DMB always has a GA Pit in front of seating (brilliant). They give a date window to put shows you want and a credit card and then they select. No refreshing...no stress....no hassle. Is there a chance some one could come up with no seats....yes. But I will say this system is pretty close to flawless and they tour a hell of a lot more and still handle it within their infrastructure.....easy....thats all. Its what ticketing should look like.
So I guess Ill put as much Abercrombie on, hemp necklaces, and Havana flip flops and join a Sophmore high school crowd 7/7 at Alpine0 -
phish does the same thing don't they? this isn't revolutionary.0

Ya but that thing is kinda BS. I only joined in 2005 and I travel a hell of a lot to see this band so one could argue i deserve better seats than some people who just joined in 92 back in the day who only go to the shows played in their back yard n download their songs off limewire.
Ya the Metclub is great to..0 -

Hey guys....when someone points out an experiment that succeeded ticket wise it is more to have an adult conversation on improving what we have. It is not always a blatant attack but sometimes constructive to look at ways to revamp a current product. Its ok to not love everything Pearl Jam does.......Eddie won't hate you. Some of you act as though people have attacked your young children when making a band suggestion. Step away from the edge ticketing lemmings.0

Except you don't do this part, you just blurt out passive aggressive complaints and get snarky with people. You fixate on adding to the problem rather than being part of the solution.0 -

@Sawyer: if your intent is to have adult conversations about improving what we have: bring it on. I am all game for that. But even you have to admit that that your approach to this thread was not adult like nor was it intent on engaging constructive discussions. I admit that the 10C is not perfect. I also agree with your point that a lot of people around here are too scared to voice their concerns. If you had started this thread with some constructive thoughts, we could have had an adult like conversation. Instead, you chose to form an opinion and make a blanket statement without even so much as informing the rest of us about the facts that led you to this decision.1996: Toronto 1998: Barrie 2000: Saratoga Springs 2003: Buffalo, Toronto 2005: Kitchener, London, Hamilton, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto 2006: Toronto x2, Cleveland, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Gorge #1 2007: London, Dusseldorf, Vic, Lolla 2008: WPB, Tampa, DC, MSG x2, Hartford, Boston x2, Beacon 2009: Toronto, Chicago x2, Seattle x2, LA #3&4, San Diego, Philly x4 2010: Cleveland, Buffalo, Hartford 2011: Montreal, Toronto x2, Hamilton 2012: Missoula 2013: London, Wrigley, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Hartford, Dallas, OKC0 -
