Anyway, there were four series of shows to choose from based on the date. It is somewhat a lottery and DMB always has a GA Pit in front of seating (brilliant). They give a date window to put shows you want and a credit card and then they select. No refreshing...no stress....no hassle. Is there a chance some one could come up with no seats....yes. But I will say this system is pretty close to flawless and they tour a hell of a lot more and still handle it within their infrastructure.....easy....thats all. Its what ticketing should look like.
Hard to argue with any of that.___________________________________________

According to dictionary.com, Bias is: a particular tendency or inclination, especially one that prevents unprejudiced consideration of a question; prejudice.
According to dictionary.com, Prejudice is: an unfavorable opinion or feeling formed beforehand or without knowledge, thought, or reason, or any preconceived opinion or feeling, either favorable or unfavorable.
People who don't agree with you aren't biased if you've given them reason to be biased against you. Sorry but you've given plenty of people plenty of reasons to be biased against you lately. A thread like this, from someone with your reputation (sorry dude, you've got one now) on a board that's spent way too much time complaining in the past year is just begging to catch heat.
As far as the merits of your post, independent of the source, maybe DMB's fan club ticketing process is better. So what? Its a fan club. For a rock band. Its just not that big of a deal. It can't be...1998-06-30 Minneapolis

The only reason it's better is because there are way more shows to choose from. Period. They don't have a seniority program or anything. It's all lottery and the bottom line is you have to deal with the DMB for close to 3 hours.
When you have the entire fan club going for 10 shows it makes it tough. It h as nothing to do with their fan club being better.Member 164xxx

Did I really just get compared to Rush Limbaugh? That is a first.
Sawyer brings much of his heat on himself, but in this case he has a point. In the post I quoted there really is very little to argue with. Should I have pretended that was not true because Sawyer was the one who said it? Not my style. While it might be Limbaugh's, it is not mine.Post edited by JimmyV on___________________________________________

If PJ played a 40+ show US tour like DMB, tickets would be just as easy to get as they are on The Warehouse. If DMB did a 10 show US tour in the northeast that were in arenas and weren't festivals, how easy would it be to get tickets? Not easy at all.Member 164xxx

They absolutely have seniority. Usually if there is one show in a given city, seating is seniority based. If there are two shows, night 1 is seniority based, night 2 is random. Both fan clubs have their pros and cons. When it's comes to ease of ordering tickets for shows, it's a huge plus for the Warehouse and an even bigger minus for the Ten Club.0 -

The only difference is DMB plays 40+ shows in the US and Pearl Jam plays 10-15. If it were the opposite, the Warehouse members would be the ones complaining.
That's where the ease comes in. It has nothing to do with their fan club or their process. It has everything to do with ticket availability and until Pearl Jam plays longer tours this issue will always be here, it doesn't matter who or what process to use.Member 164xxx

Well said.
But not entirely accurate.
It only appears that way because of how many shows there are to choose from. If it was a 10 show arena tour and not 40+, I would imagine it would be a very different story.Post edited by RedMosquito22 onMember 164xxx
