Usually told all them weeks after we know..and I'm not talking about rumours but official festival sites but their announcements up before etc.
Why is this important? Honestly does it make any difference at all if you hear it somewhere else?
I heard about DMB shows before the announcement and I'm not even a fan. Radio stations always leak shit and always will.
I also heard about Jane's Addiction shows before the tour was announced. It happens all the friggin time. If you took your head out of the Pearl Jam balloon every once in a while you would know this.
Because if you pay for a membership you should prolly hear from the fanclub first rather than down all the other methods. It's more relating to hearing all the dates in one big go then trickles of information. But it's not a nissue. Plus my head is out of the PJ balloon, I listen to a lot more music than some people here.Post edited by Brisk. on0 -

honestly your experiment doesn't make any sense. In order for it to make sense or for it mean anything is if Pearl Jam also booked a 40+show tour to see how they handle it.
Or you could just ask your new friends how easy they think it would be to get tickets on a 10 show northeast arena tour for DMB. That's the only real comparison.
Basically you wasted $30 and are known as a DMB fan boy.Member 164xxx

Why would hearing news here be part of the Fan Club membership. People that don't pay and go to the website or follow them on twitter/facebook would see it for free anyway. It just doesn't make sense, and why people worry about it make even less sense.

It's 2012, you can plan a trip in 2 hours, even overseas(flight, hotel and rental car) and I will even give you an extra day to find a babysitter if you need one. Other than that you don't need more time.
Actually, while this thread is a bit of a joke, so is your answer.

Some valid points there, I guess if you don't have time for the internet then they announce a email anyway eventually. You just feel like they should be the front-line over anything else, especially if you are part of their club but doesn't really matter at the end of the day. Just having ALL the dates in one go is nice, that's for sure.0 -

I do have a life and planned my PJ20 weekend in about 3 hours if you don't count the time trying to get the tickets. Went to work the next day told my boss I needed 2 days off(5 minutes tops), got someone to watch the dog for 4 days(my sister in law who went with us needed their 4 kids to be watched for those days and it took about an hour to get a sitter). Then went home and booked our flight, hotel and rent a car off of Orbitz(may have been somewhere else).
Where is all this other time you need to plan? Where does all this extra time have to go to plan a trip? If your job doesn't allow you to travel(ie a teacher if the tour is from August-June) for a weekday show then it doesn't matter how much time is given, you aren't going. This more time needed BS is laughable.Member 164xxx

Luckily, this time around I don't have to go far to see Radiohead, although I would have. And to be honest I just found out about their tour today and if I had to travel I would have the trip booked tonight. Luckily I don't and all I have to do is ask for the day off.
you are right though, I don't get some of these complaints. It's mind boggling. The I need more than 3 months notice to go to a concert may be the funniest thing I have ever heard.Member 164xxx

Exactly. Honestly, probably 99% of Pearl Jam fans get their news by the 10 Club first (by the emails sent and/or by email or facebook/twitter). It's us die hard losers that may here it somewhere else. hahahahahahaMember 164xxx
