Any of you kids going to Europe. I know you got the money and the time....
I'm going to Manchester 1. You?
I wish I could do more, but I'm traveling with someone else. We're starting the trip with PJ (my favorite band) and ending it with Stone Roses (his favorite band)--with some traveling in between shows.

Turned 53 in December and someone shared this quote on facebook:
I may be old but I got to see ALL the COOL bands!!
Now here I am, back from the early bird specials at the Old Homestyle Country Corral Buffet (j/k), checking my email constantly hoping for word that I got EV tix for April. Doesn't 10C know that us old folks need to go to bed early?
46, going on 21 (again) here :-) Taking a vacation with my wife to England (where I was born) and doing Manchester x2. A combo vacation/visit family thing along with some PJ (and maybe some Radiohead if the stars align) !
I looking to connect with fans over 40. The fans that grew up listening to PJ and still do. Lets connect.
Fell In Love with Pearl Jam MUSIC in the very early 90's. My life's important milestones are set to their music. I was in my very late 20"s at the time. I still adore them. Always will

i suppose some people here have your parents age Brisk
My parents liked the Beatles. So therefore....I do, too. I think it's really awesome if some parents listented to Pearl Jam...and have spawned new PJ fans. Music will always be the one thing in common when it comes to "filling in" generational gaps. Just truly appreciate the music.

Not yet 40, but closer to it then. I am to 30. Been listening to PJ for so long now, they are the soundtrack to my life. They have played a part in every major event in my life, from my first dance with my boyfriend, who is now my husband, played them at my wedding, had their wonderful music playing when my two beautiful boys were born.....So many amazing memories....Hopefully many more to come

41, been listening since college, and trying to get my kids into PJ. They always give me a hard time and say they don't like the music. Lately though, in the rear view mirror, I've seen the little one bobbing her head and the older one mouthing the words. It's just a matter of time...

'Not 40 yet but 38 and have been there since the beginning. Heard "Alive" for the first time on what used to be our college radio station here in vegas wile working in the back room of a clothing store. Went to the local record store the next day only to find out the album haddent "dropped" yet. Saw them the next summer in '92 in AZ at Lalapalooza and have been a "groopie" since. Havent been to even close to as many shows as most of you have been, and its still a dream to follow them on a tour. Trying to raise the next generation of pearl jam fans too!

I loved the Beatles, and of course my kids do too. But I also introduced my kids to Pearl Jam, whom we all love. I totally agree with you about music filling in the generation gaps. It's so cool that I can share the music with my kids. But my parents could never have shared their music with me -- it was pre-rock & roll.
Jeff's 48 (and some of are, too).
First saw PJ in 1992, changed my life, and a fan ever since.

your avatar is scawy!
So I'll just lie down and wait for the dream Where I'm not ugly and you're lookin' at me
42 here. I'll be dating myself further... I got Ten on cassette when it was released and listened to it on my walkman in college. My memories of seeing them in 91 was a high energy show that got the whole (small)place into a frenzy. After the show we saw a U Haul backed up to some doors and a couple guys with their hair stuffed into stocking hats loading up guitars. My friends swore they were from the band so I approached them and got my cassette signed with a ball point pen. Still not sure if it was anyone from the band but is a good memory to cap off an awesome show. I should dig that cassette out one of these days.
can I play? I am 40 in 2 months, yikes! I go all the way back to day one. I saw them three times on the ten tour. First time I saw them, hadn't heard of them. They opened for Chili Peppers and Nirvana (concert of a lifetime!). Within a year, I was at my third show, all in Phoenix, and a fan for life.
have never missed a show that was in my town, and done some drives as well.
coming up? New Mex Eddie shows. a 6 hour venture from Denver, which will be awesome!
also, your name was Pumpkin head, correct? Is that a reference to Smashing Pumpkins? am also a BIG fan of them. Interestingly, the tour I mentioned above... Smashing Pumpkins toured the first half of that tour, and Pearl Jam took over the second half. Nirvana were even openers, and Chili's headlined. They were at the height of their powers touring on Blood Sugar Sex Magic. God, what a time for music that was. What a great time to be in college.
it is occurring to me that there are likely as many fans over 40 as under. I am at 39. Was 18 when Pearl Jam hit with Ten... which was the perfect time.
Yes you can play the game reserved for us youngsters Pumpkinhead is kinda my nickname cause well...I'm a pumpkinhead...and yes I love the smashing pumpkins but my aka has nothing to do with them..
