Partisan system......fundamental flaw.....nothing will ever truly change.

the same could be said about Obama. This payroll tax thing is a joke. When the House passed their version, Obama urged the Senate not to pass it.....because HE WANTS TO GET REELECTED....even if it means WE suffer.

This morning, Speaker Pro Tempore Michael Fitzpatrick (R-PA), under orders from Speaker Boehner, refused to allow Democratic Whip Steny Hoyer to speak on the floor and ask for unanimous consent to bring up the Senate bipartisan compromise to extend the payroll tax cut. Whip Hoyer and Congressman Chris Van Hollen are continuing to try to offer the Senate compromise even though Republicans walked off the floor. Once again, Republicans are risking a tax increase on 160 million Americans and the loss unemployment benefits for those who have lost their jobs through no fault of their own.

the ironic thing is the washington post came out today and ripped the house gop and said that obama is in a better position to win re-election right now than he was a year ago. it is because of the republicans in this congress playing games. the public realizes it now, and they are getting pissed..
the funny thing is the gop senators are coming out and bashing boehner and cantor and the rest of the congressional rank and file. it is hilarious to hear them criticize each other.
my theory is the only reason the gop is doing this is because each and every one of them is afraid that they will have to face someone more to the right of them in the next election, which based on this current congress is not possible. they need to worry about someone more moderate coming in and knocking their ass out of a job.."You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln

I am not defending Bush but Crawford was his home and cost the Taxpayers very little compared to $77,000 extra so Michelle could fly out early. He also spent his Christmas at Camp David so his staff could spend time with their families. Obama is a joke, Period.

I love the comment on the rounds of golf compared to W. 4:10 -
I really hate political debates because there are so many sad differences. The really sad thing is that when push comes to shove, we really want the same outcome. A planet for our kids to grow old on. Bob Weir used to sing:
Picture a bright blue ball just spinning, spinning free
Dizzy with eternity
Paint it with a skin of sky, brush in some clouds and sea
Call it home for you and me
A peaceful place, or so it looks from space
A closer look reveals the human race
Full of hope, full of grace, is the human face
But afraid we may lay our home to waste
There's a fear down here we can't forget
Hasn't got a name just yet
Always awake, always around
Singing ashes, ashes, all fall down
Ashes, ashes, all fall down
Now watch as the ball revolves and the night-time falls (note 1)
And again the hunt begins and again the blood wind calls (note 2)
By and by, again, the morning sun will rise
But the darkness never goes from some men's eyes
(Well I know)
It strolls the sidewalk and it rolls the streets
Staking turf, dividing up meat
Nightmare spook, piece of heat
It's you and me, you and me
Click flash blade in ghetto night
Rudy's looking for a fight
Rat cat alley, roll them bones
Need that cash to feed that Jones
And the politicians throwing stones
Singing ashes, ashes, all fall down
Ashes, ashes, all fall down
Commissars and pinstripe bosses roll the dice
Anyway they fall, guess who gets to pay the price? (note 3)
Money green, or proletarian gray (note 4)
Selling guns instead of food today (note 5)
So the kids they dance and shake their bones
And the politicians throwing stones
Singing ashes, ashes, all fall down
Ashes, ashes, all fall down
Heartless powers try to tell us what to think
If the spirit's sleeping then the flesh is ink
History's page will be neatly carved in stone
The future's here, we are it, we are on our own
On our own, on our own, we are on our own
If the game is lost, then we're all the same
No one left to place or take the blame
We will leave this place an empty stone
Or that shining ball of blue we call our home
So the kids, they dance, they shake their bones
And the politicians throwing stones
Singing ashes, ashes, all fall down
Ashes, ashes, all fall down
Shipping powders back and forth
Singing black goes south and white comes north (note 6)
And the whole world full of petty wars
Singing I got mine and you got yours
While the current fashions set the pace
Lose your step, fall out of grace
The radical, he rant and rage
Singing someone got to turn the page
And the rich man in his summer home
Singing just leave well enough alone
But his pants are down, his cover's blown
And the politicians throwing stones
So the kids, they dance, they shake their bones
'Cause it's all too clear we're on our own
Singing ashes, ashes, all fall down
Ashes, ashes, all fall down
Picture a bright blue ball just spinning, spinning free
It's dizzying, the possibilities
Ashes, ashes, all fall down
[Ashes, ashes, all fall down]
Ashes, ashes, all fall down
[Ashes, ashes, all fall down]
Ashes, ashes, all fall down
[Ashes, ashes, all fall down]
Ashes, ashes, all fall down
[Ashes, ashes, all fall down]
This pretty much sums it up for me. I am a conservative fiscally but center right on social issues. Does it make me a bad person?0 -

He and Democrat and hard-core liberal Barney Frank co-sponsored a bill to end the federal ban on marijuana.
Ron Paul got the HOUSE to approve auditing the fed.
He has spoke on the house floor against every Patriot act/terrorist custody bill.

Obama turned his back on 99 percent of what he promised. I was Bush's biggest critic. Im not a party player. I call it like i see. Clinton's first term was our last effective presidency. Reagan's before that. and then u had to go all the way back to eisenhower to find a good one. pull your head out of the two-party system's ass, with all due repsectRC, SoDak 1998 - KC 2000 - Council Bluffs IA 2003 - Fargo ND 2003 - St. Paul MN 2003 - Alpine Valley 2003 - St Louis MO 2004 - Kissimmee FLA 2004 - Winnipeg 2005 - Thunder Bay 2005 - Chicago 2006 - Grand Rapids MI 2006 - Denver CO 2006 - Lollapalooza 2007 - Bonnaroo 2008 - Austin City Limits 2009 - Los Angeles 2009 - KC 2010 - St Louis MO 2010 - PJ20 Night 1 - PJ20 Night 20 -

well, that bill ending the ban did not pass, so yeah,....
the house approved the audit, but when is it going to happen? is it going to happen?
unfortunately speaking against something and it stil passing is no accomplishment...
so he passed one thing. nice job... it is better than what most of the dolts in the house did this term."You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln
