Im not sure there is anything wrong with a quick warning over deals gone wrong, in a self policing forum that is largely based on trust, the feedback system is at times essential. Provided it is fair and not abusive. In this scenario the 'guilty' (and I say that very loosely) party has come clean and apologised - so full respect to him for that.

no one is judging anything D, its more a heads up that this wasnt a great trade and to proceed with caution. Nothing wrong with that IMO.
People are always aware theres two sides to a coin, but there are scammers in the world (not Sawyer at all) and its prudent that people are made aware of that.
We have a similar thread over at PJcollectors that serves the community very well (a blacklisted seller thread).....it is a cautious note to all people that there are fakes out there and to watch your back, a similar theme really

Maybe they got burned on a trade or a cash deal or whatever but it serves two purposes: to be aware of a bad trader and to maybe call the guy out to pressure him to do somethign. But to say that you shouldnt make a public forum out of these things is naive and unfair to the person getting burned. Many times its their only/last option. I disagree. Most people around here are good, but there are exceptions and people need to know about them. I don't think this thread hurt anyone, sawyer included. I would still trade with him because it sounds like he made good on it after taking too long.
I don't think it should take 2 weeks to get your stuff, let alone 2 or 3 months. It is tough here with nothing backing you and your risk, especially on big trades.
If you hurry and send out your end of the deal and then have to wait 2 months, how else are you supposed to track down your goods or let others know who does/doesn't take priority in your trade and is selfish.

The OP had good reason to post if his PM's were not being replied to. This isn't a Kangaroo Court, Sawyer had his chance to make it right through PM's. Now he has made amends publicly which takes balls. Good on him.

dialogue solves all problems when done right, so this is always a VERY VERY last resort.
in this instance, I wouldnt say Sawyer is the good guy. But he put things right. Its just a shame that it came to this thread to do that. But like it was said above, because he put things right it certainly wouldnt put me off trading with him.
i just have a different opinion what a dialogue is..

D, this is the whole arguement for me in this situation. After every possible effort is exhausted to get a hold of the person who might not be holding up their end of a trade is made. only then should you post.

Yep. So the thread worked. If the OP wasn't getting anywhere with info on his trade, what else was he supposed to do? Keep sending pm's in the hope that he might get an answer?
I think the OP was right with his thread as he kept his post balanced and Sawyer was good to come here and sort it though he should have done this earlier I guess. But all seems good now so lets move on!

The OP had good reason to post if his PM's were not being replied to. This isn't a Kangaroo Court, Sawyer had his chance to make it right through PM's. Now he has made amends publicly which takes balls. Good on him.
Well, maybe you don't truly know this person if you still support them after a bad trade. Your politics with sticking up for someone even if they are wrong is just as bad as calling someone out, imo.
Don't be naive people. Everyone that posts here is not all good.
