First, i was lucky enough to score tickets for the Berlin and Amsterdam show at the crowdsurge presale! I'm not going to complain about the technical problems and the server breakdown (or whatever the problem was...) because i expected it to be like this! So far so good!
My wife Kathi, also a TC member, tried to get tickets for Berlin too. The reason is, we want to invite my sister and her partner to come to a PJ concert for the first time. I scored my tickets with my membership, she tried to get the Berlin tickets with her membership. She had the tickets in her cart but got the message that she is not able to get them because a person in the same household already bought tickets for this show!!!???
I emailed TC and hope to get a reply. How can it be that we pay 2 times $ 50 for our international memberships to have access to TC tickets but are not allowed to get them? Its the first time that i am really disappointed about the TC policy/service.
today the general sale started! We could try again to get two tickets but what if we come to the venue and the TC stuff tells us that we won't get a second pair of wristbands because we are married and have the same address.
One thing is clear: Kathi (my wife) will not renew her membership again!
firstly not getting wristbands would be a terrible reason not to buy tickets, secondly it shouldn't have happened in the firstplace and this mistake seems seperate to the general problem,
i think you will get a reply from the ten club, not instantly but it will come and you should be sorted

Thats just wonderful to hear Chrisilein! Im so sorry... Im in the same boat - my bf and i are both members of 10c, live at the same address. Can't wait for the US Tour presale!!! I really hopes this gets worked out, for you and everyone else's sake.
On another note...what is the difference between Crowd Surge and Artist Arena?
I have gone through Artist Arena to get presale tickets for Kings of Leon and My Morning Jacket in the past, and most recently The Black Keys signed on with them too. Their servers never crashed before the presales sold out. Maybe this is another possiblility for 10c to consider.
Better yet, distribute individual, personalized Live Nation presale passwords. One password per member. Live Nation/Ticketmaster can handle the demand.

Kathi is right..sad but true
"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".
"..That's One Happy Fuckin Ghost.."
“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”
reading all this is disheartening
granted, its upsetting and frustrating when you pay good money and spend good time and give your heart and soul to this band and to this organization
and then to feel slighted like this
its not the first time its happened but we surely hope that it will be the last
maybe...despite the differences in the past, Pearl Jam should just put aside their issues
and go with Live Nation/Ticketmaster for presales..with a code, individual or group, for 10C members and a sufficient allotment of fan club seats with more than a few hours to purchase them to avoid all these problems in the first place
we carry on
we moan
we cry
we say Never Again
but truth of the matter is
no matter how much you deny it at the moment
You'll Be Back
We All Will
Its unconditional love
And we have to give Kat props for coming forth and being straightforward and honest and sincere with us.
I think the wounds would heal more quickly and much more deeply if we had heard from the actual band members as well
Thanks Kat..I know this has got to be the pits....kudos for your sincerity and for stepping up

"Some people hear their own inner voices with great clearness and they live by what they hear. Such people become crazy, or they become legends." ~ One Stab ~
A couple of things from my perspective for what its worth:
10C has always owned up to the "mistake", "problem", "issue" or whatever by eventually making it right. They tried something new and it didn't work. They'll try again. And I have faith that eventually, they'll make it right. In my experiences, they always have.
Getting answers and/or understanding what happens takes time. Particularly if you want to communicate clearly and honestly about what has happened and what you're going to do to fix it. 10C doesn't know until they line up their ducks and I doubt anyone on staff are trained "crisis" managers. There are reasons those types of people and positions exist in institutions, businesses, politics, governments, etc.
30,000+ fans from around the world, some scalpers and scammers, most probably using multiple platforms or screens to score tickets for 17,000 to 21,000 seat arenas (minus corporate, season ticket holder and the like allotments) = crash.
I tried to get tickets to Berlin and entered my log in email and password. Had tickets scored within 3 minutes but couldn't check out. When I refreshed, I was in virtual waiting. So goes it. Not the end of the world. BUT, the weird thing is, I received an email the next morning purportedly from 10C with an explanation and what was to happen next. BUT the message box was blank. AND when I looked at the sender it was from: <!-- e --><a href="mailto:noreply@tenclub.net">noreply@tenclub.net</a><!-- e -->. USUALLY, it reads <!-- e --><a href="mailto:donotreply@tenclub.net">donotreply@tenclub.net</a><!-- e -->. I expect all of you who tried to get tickets to receive viagra spam from my email address soon.
10C, please consider the "virtual waiting room" approach similar to what Red Sox Nation (I know) does for ticket releases to Red Sox games. You get an email 1 to 2 weeks out and express the interest in the shows you want to attend. Stagger the sale dates. Day of sale, user logs in with password and sits in a virtual waiting room. Page refreshes automatically and if you get selected, you get 5 minutes to complete your purchase. If not, eventually you get a message that says tickets are sold out. They do this where they might have several hundred tickets available and tens of thousands of fans clamoring for them (small venue, very large, loyal, rabid fan base + scalpers and scammers = hard to get tickets, particularly good seats). Maybe not now with their recent collapse and management/player changes but that's another issue.
There are six months to the shows, tickets will be available and if you really, really want to go, you'll find a way. It may not have been the calm, cool, collected way you had hoped for but you'll get there. Remember, its about the band, the music, the people and the concert experience and not the ticket buying experience, particularly in these crazy, messed up economic times we're all living in.
Am I disappointed, sure but I'll get over it. More disappointed in the fan base reaction though than anything and that's troubling to me.
I wish everyone luck in getting tickets and safe travels. And here's to 20 more years of Pearl Jam making tickets available to their fans through their fan club. To the folks at 10C, I hope that you get to enjoy the holidays and get a break from all of this. There are many more important things to stress about.

My sister wanted to share the time with us and other TC members. I don't know if there will be a seperate area for TC fans this year in Berlin. In 2009/2010 there was a seperate area. imo you are absolutely right. I would definately buy general tickets if I'm not able to score TC tickets but my sister as not such a PJ fan like I am...

What I don't get and I have suggested this over and over and just simply don't understand why they don't try this is a simple solution. What 10 Club SHOULD do is announce the shows, Pearl Jam will be playing, post all the shows and prices to the 10 Club members and then tell all the members the have one week to chose the shows they want tickets for and take their credit card information on these shows.
After the week is up the members are informed if they got their tickets or not, those who didn't get tickets would still have a chance through Ticketmaster or whoever is offering the tickets. This way everyone is not trying to log onto a website @ the same time and making everything crash and having people pissed off and angry.
That's the main problem that for some reason is ignored, the problem being that YOU CAN"T HAVE EVERYONE TRYING TO BUY TICKETS @ THE SAME TIME! You need to spread the time line out over a week to avoid this problem, no matter what service or method you try to use, nothing will change if everyone is trying to log on and get tickets @ the same time. This is why this problem is happening every time, it doesn't seem that complicated to me, it's not like this is the first time it has happened, and THAT"S why people are pissed, because it happens over and over.
We want Berlin standing tickets, but they are missing from ticketing website.
Standing area is completely missing from seating map, without any sold out notice.
I guess that you can only buy seated tickets.
Could anybody please explain what happened with standing tickets?
Are they sold out?
Were they really offered to public?
I have found them on other websites for double the price. This is shameful since there are Tenclub members (me) without any chance to obtain tickets.
Any information will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Standing tickets were sold out about 15-30 mins after the sale started at 10 am CET.
That's about right. I was up until about 5 central checking everything out.

If this was a DDoS attack on the site, it doesn't matter if they're selling anything at all - someone is maliciously attempting to flood the site with traffic so that it is brought to a stand-still. This could happen for absolutely anything, including a new Eddie Vedder phlegm sale.

We do not support ticket scalpers or brokers here. This thread is closed.
Unfortunately, it should be noted that the failure to secure a ticket distribution framework for fan club members is essentially supporting ticket scalpers and brokers. It is widely accepted that brokers/scalpers have the upper hand in securing tickets to most shows Pearl Jam or otherwise. No fan wants to play inflated prices but if that is their only option - they will resort to it.
This shows that the band definitely doesn't put their thumbprint on this site or "fan club." And I'm sure no one wants to get fired, but shit, these things are no longer the exception it's becoming a trend. You want us to pay for memberships where we expect to get a benefit out of it more than a shitty shirt or mp3, yet here we sit with the same problems. Starting to sour on this whole gig...fix your shit, 10C staff.
I promise you that even if you haven't heard it yet, there is an extreme level of concern about this. I'm sure it wasn't an easy thing to figure out what was happening and why it was happening when the ticketing procedures weren't working as they were supposed to. Then you have to figure out what to do. They pulled the plug instead of waiting to see if it would clear up so people wouldn't be more inconvenienced but they already were so it was a rock and a hard place. There were still going to be people who were extremely upset. Because of past problems they were trying hard to fix, some people don't want to give the benefit of the doubt and there we are. It's going to work out is all I know right now. It's just going to work out.
Honestly, if we had all received an email from Ten Club last night verbatim of what you just said here - I feel like a lot of people here would be much happier right now. If there is an extreme level of concern about this, why a sincere message the likes of what you just wrote here could not be distributed through an official email just doesn't make sense to me.

The Lottery has been brought up many times, even in this thread. Personally, I don't like them.
I don't get why every says this happens every time, Alpine and Europe being way differnt the last two times, but other then NYC, Boston, or Philly, they were very easy.
Maybe they should just let Ticketmaster handle it.
No matter what, people are still going to be upset, people will still get shut out. There is no perfect way.

I think they should hand the 10C sale to Ticketmaster. But....and for one second lets go with the sabotage theory, wouldn't the same thing have happened no matter what company was handling the 10C sale?
I think what 10C need to do right now and make it top of the priorities is find out fully what the hell happened on Tuesday and to communicate this back to us. And just communicate better to us in general. Doesn't take much.

I agree that the biggest let down is that they did not space out the tickets AT ALL for these shows. Utter failure. Let's say they HAD spaced them out and there was still quote-unquote "sabotage" (not buying it yet), at least they would have known and only the first show would have been quote-unquote "sabotaged." By not spacing the shows out, which it seems after all the other things that have happened all the other presales, it was kind of asking for trouble. Everyone knew this before the tickets went on sale.
Lastly I'd just like to say Oh my God. It's a mirage. I'm telling ya'll it's sabotage.

If you hire me to fix it, I'll let you blame all of the previous ticketing and shipping problems on me too. Even Stone could blame stuff on me. Drummers? My fault. Sorry.

firstly not getting wristbands would be a terrible reason not to buy tickets, secondly it shouldn't have happened in the firstplace and this mistake seems seperate to the general problem,
i think you will get a reply from the ten club, not instantly but it will come and you should be sorted

“..That came up on the Pillow Case...This is for the Greek, With Our Apologies.....”
granted, its upsetting and frustrating when you pay good money and spend good time and give your heart and soul to this band and to this organization
and then to feel slighted like this
its not the first time its happened but we surely hope that it will be the last
maybe...despite the differences in the past, Pearl Jam should just put aside their issues
and go with Live Nation/Ticketmaster for presales..with a code, individual or group, for 10C members and a sufficient allotment of fan club seats with more than a few hours to purchase them to avoid all these problems in the first place

Peace.
