That's a lot of poster... not trying to give anyone false hope but those gotta go somewhere!

It looks like a big stack of posters, but they're printed on pretty thick stock (#100 is about the thickness of a postcard), so that picture could very well be of only 250 or so.
    You think so?

Well, then I really hope those aren't all of them. It would be cool if there was a broader distribution for everyone who somehow made it to Alpine from everywhere.

Does anyone know how 36" prints fit in the 36" Portfolio? Is there any play near the opening? I was lucky enough to score one but I want to be sure to store this safely without damaging the ends.

Yes! But just barely. My PJ20 Klausen and Munk One Toronto Moose are well protected by my 24x36 portfolio. Thought I was going to have to get something bigger for the Klausen but didn't have to.

I am starting to lose my mind with missing these type of items and sales. I just feel like everything they release is limited and that you have to be here or on the web all day everyday to be part of this stuff anymore.

I love you PJ, but I think I will just stick to the tours and the albums and damn the merchandise. I hope that they correct these type issues for the "FAITHFUL" who are going to stay and pay or lose whatever comes first.

    GOOD LUCK ALL!

    PS

Couldn't even taste the FAITHFULL ALE!

My order was #72 from the F4D site, FYi. Hopefully if they oversold I'm in early enough to keep mine! My PJ20 poster collection has gotten a little absurd and I don't even want to add up what all of these cost me:
    Ames 9/3 - S/N
    Klausen 9/4 - S/N
    Hampton weekend - First
    Ames Mookie - S/N (of 30)

My framer is going to be able to retire soon thanks to me...

    Yep! :)

A quick response to some questions from fans of the PJ20 print:

255 prints were signed total. 200 were sold between both artists on their sites. The other 50 are AP prints divided (25 each) between both the artist, we will send some of these AP'S directly to the band for generously allowing us to make the print. The last 5 went to the wonderful printer. The photos are of the same stack of 255 just moved around during the day as we signed them. Yes the stacks look tall because of the quality of paper. This small release of prints was coordinated by the artists as a fun project that hopefully the fans would enjoy, so congrats to those who got one! There is no plan to print any more at this time. These will be shipped Priority Mail via USPS so they should arrive by the before the 24th depending on your location but unfortunately there is no guarantee because of the xmas rush. Thanks for all the questions!
  • So nothing about it being over sold right? And nobody has got refunded? Seems like we should all be pretty safe at this point.

just wish the price wasn't so high....

b/c of the price, i didn't buy one. we were thinking that they'd be around $30-40 and they'd print off a ton of these b/c that would be the best way for them to make some $. nope. $90? we were out when we saw the price tag. but, i hope you all enjoy this print!

Well, if they sold it for $35, theyd have to sell more than 3 times as many to make the same profit due to associated overhead. I also believe artists pride themselves on the value of a print after sale. Plus, maybe for this print they could sell 600. They have plenty of others they still have for sale that they could not. How to decide which ones?

It would be awesome if everyone who wants one could get one. But realities of business make this near impossible. And as a result, I think we can all agree we'd rather see the artists reap the benefits of their work than resellers. Yes, limited editions result in flippers. But higher prices up front begin to mitigate that. The difficulty is finding a happy medium.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.

    very true.

someday, we may own one of these...it just won't be today & i'm ok w/ that! we took this picture in front of the billboard...and this pic is worth more to me than the poster.

IMO, you can't complain about the price of something that sold out instantly. Maybe it should have been $125 or more to allow a better chance for folks to secure one.

Imagine the chaos if these were $50!! I wouldn't even try.

Anyway, happy to get one but I agree with the idea that it was more valuable to be there to see this live than to own the print. If you weren't there and bought this, it has no meaning to you...
