I haven't followed Va Tech this year, but looking at their schedule they don't look so bad. At least they've been playing ranked teams. I don't know if they needed to be ranked as high as they were, but until yesterday they were a 1 loss team and played 3 ranked opponents, so I can at least see why they would be ranked. And really, only 1 team has beat them. Clemson earlier in the season, and again yesterday. Houston's entire schedule was weak teams like University Of North Texas, UTEP, East Carolina (I've never even heard of that one), and the like.

houston was MORE of a fraud....but va tech never should have been as high as #5. even their so-called quality wins (miami, ga tech  ) were not exactly powerhouses.

Yeah, probably. Some of the rankings really had me scratching my head this season. Like Oklahoma still being in the top 10 after losing to Texas Tech and Baylor. Or Texas being ranked #22 with a 7-4 record. Luckily both teams lost yesterday in embarrassing fashion to prove they were overrated.

No interest in the rematch. If you are only taking 2 teams to play in this game, then it should be the best two conference champions. If you can't even win your conference you shouldn't play for a championship unless it's through a playoff system. So what happens if Alabama beats LSU in another shitty 9-6 game in OT. Then who's really better? They split 2 games, should they play a third to really decide it? What if Alabama wins by less than 3, then are they really better than LSU? This is a joke.

    100%

i'd be ok if both bama and lsu survived a 16 team playoff

Exactly. It's hard for me to take college football seriously w/ this bowl nonsense still happening. Every other sport in IN THE WORLD has a playoff system!! Get it done

+1,000. and, fixed. the whole season seems like a wast of time to me.

    the bcs is a joke.

I'll be the first to say, no big Ten team this year deserve to be there. Still I'm just looking for some answers to my questions. The only way a true champion will be crowned is if LSU wins, if not how can people say Bama is better, they split 2 games.
