Great setlist, great show and a great boot. Just saddens me a little that the audience were too quiet in the mix because that place was ecstatic that night and the boot doesn't capture it well at all. Hope you enjoy it G...

up until now i have been enjoying this one for sure. a great set list indeed with some special requests! the audience is a bit low in the mix but can definitely still be heard. it seems the band (especially eddie) were really having a great time that night.
and hey, there's quite a bit of contemplating by the both of you going on in that profile picture of yours! great picture"...bring it back someway bring it back, back, back... to the clean form, to the pure form..."

This was a great show Gunter. Some very loud singing from the crowd. Black was really intense and is maybe my favourite version. Small Town...., Go, Red Mosquito, Not For You, Nothingman, OF THE EARTH, Arms Aloft, Betterman, Worldwide Suicide, Brain Damage/Corduroy are all big highlights for me. It was a great day spent with some new friends and probably too much wine! I'm listening to a Black Crowes boot just now but I think I have to relive Hyde Park after this. Thanks G.Like a book among the many on a shelf...

toronto 1, earlier montreal 9/7/11, next... maybe hartford 08? is it just me or have the last 4 years of touring been some the tightest ever? i mean, they've always been the best live band ever, but 08 through now, (really starting with lollapalooza 07) they've been better if that is at all possible. i've got shows from every year & you can hear the growth throughout, but my god, the boots since lolla 07 have been INCREDIBLE! there's been like a new fire lit. really i'll go ahead & say 06, so it makes it 5 years (or because i was thinking of the gorge & immagine in cornice). pj is truly the best band of all time, IMO. they're in a class with all the founding bands of rock. when they hit in 92 & i was a 15 year old kid, i knew i finally had something for me & not just my dads music to be inspired by. pearl jam-like a fine wine: gets better with age."It's best to live in grace before you're forced to." awesome bootleg for sure Gary! i just went through Small Town and the energy is tangible! it seems that Eddie in particular was in a very good moodanother winner, so i will get this bootleg soon through Kufala. but with the 2011 boots now being released, sh*t is getting hectic
i ordered Toronto 2 and Hamilton for now. which ones are you getting? cheers my man,

these last couple of years have seen quite a lot of great shows, with also a lot of personal favorites from the last couple of albums being played. but i wouldn't say i prefer these shows over the ones of the previous decades. but there is a difference in mood i guess, with some of the most incredible shows from the nineties being extremely raw which is awesome. basically it probably all depends on which albums you prefer. but even in spite of that, there are some amazing shows from every tour IMHO that will all stand the test of time. as to the new fire lit as you put it, i haven't attended any of the 2011 shows, but from what i read about, it seems like the band is definitely going all-out!"...bring it back someway bring it back, back, back... to the clean form, to the pure form..."
