enjoyed Hamilton 2011 a lot, although i have to say that Ed couldn't quite keep up vocally during Brain of J. just listened to the 2003 Sendai version of that song and wonder if Ed's voice actually is suffering a bit nowadays. ..

I thought his voice sounded strained during the Argentina broadcast, and does at certain points in the Canada recordings. Overall though with the Canada boots I think he still sounds really good. He certainly seems to push himself a lot with the choice of songs sometimes, and he's not so young as he used to be..... hopefully he'll find the balance between protecting his voice and the need to belt out the big numbers in the future.....

    Interesting conversation, guys !
I'm considering getting Toronto 2 or Hamilton. Since you listened to a lot of the Canadian boots and I trust you guys judgment ;) , which one would you recommend ? Judging by the setlists, I'm tempted to favor Hamilton, but I haven't read thoroughly through all of them and there's much more to a show than the setlist ...

hey there, i only heard both Toronto shows and the Hamilton boot up until now. both Toronto shows are awesome, a great selection of songs on both nights and the band sounds fantastic, very solid performances. the Hamilton one sounds great as well and that set list also speaks to me. although, regarding Hamilton i was looking forward to the SOLAT, Porch and Brain of J. streak of songs but felt a bit disappointed after listening to these songs; they sounded somewhat sloppy and Eddie seemed to have a bit of a hard time to keep up with the vocals. when i heard SOLAT and Porch on the Toronto 2 boot yesterday, things DID fall into place, awesome versions of both songs, as well as of any other song on that boot actually. going through the set lists, and from what tremors mentioned, i will be getting Calgary as well, but i haven't heard that one yet.. .
