I'm gonna go out on a limb and predict $100 bottles on ebay (full of course).
If anyone pays $100 for a bottle on E Bay they are out of their mind...

People pay hundreds and some times thousands for posters and vinyls. So 100 isn't far fetched if u look at what some of dogfish's other 750ml bottles have gone for. Crazy but i wouldn't be surprised at all to see it reach that level.

I thought somebody already said that ebay only allows for the sale of empty bottles?

I bought the Dogfish Head 750 ml. bottle of Black and Blue while at the liquor store today. Will probably try it this weekend. My store had a bunch of these and another kind (750ml) but I can't remember what it was. I guess with all this hub-bub over DFH I will have to try the various styles.

I have seen bottles of other stuff like Sam Adams Utopias on ebay before. People just sell them as a sealed collectable bottles where the seller is not responsible for the contents.

Ah, I see, "contents are not intended for consumption" Yeah right. Well, I might be in the market for an unopened "collectible container" of Faithfull Ale if anyone has an extra ;)

I just contacted my most local DFH wholesaler.

She emailed me back almost immediately.

NY hasnt approved the SKU yet, but they expect the beer next week and for it to hit shelves next week. She also said it will very likely be at a beer store that I frequent in Buffalo. The wholesaler has a great tracker in order to find it too. (this Wholesaler is near Syracuse, NY).

I think if I monitor it enough, I will be able to score this stuff!

I will be going to the tasting event in about 2 hours time!!! I will be sure to post my review of Faithfull Ale tonight (if I am able to haha). I am also going for another taste of Bitches Brew and I want to try probably 2 others that I have never had before.

I would love to sit down and drink a Faithfull Ale, but they don't sell in my state and I'm not gonna bust my balls and/or wallet trying to get a beer because it says Pearl Jam on the wrapper. I'll just drink a regular old less than $12 beer and pretend... ;)

It IS a great souvenir though, great collectible... but just not worth the hassle and/or money.

i'll send you an empty...free of charge....and you can fill the bottle with your fav brew. :P

SOLD! :) I'll take that empty if you really want!
I'm sure the actual beer is great... I would love to try one... if I happen to be on vacation next month in Chicago and wander into a liquor store selling it, you're damn right I'm buying it! But the chances of that happening...? Almost no chance!
