    Not that I want to give the Cardinals more time on the clock. But the ball hit the ground at 2:03 and the clock kept running down to the 2 minute warning. Why is that? Those 3 seconds could be really helpful.

    Rule 7, Section 2, Article 1 states that “An official shall declare the ball dead and the down ended: (e): when a runner is out of bounds, or declares himself down by falling to the ground, or kneeling, and making no effort to advance.”

    he did none of that. he tripped and dropped the ball. you guys had this game handed to you on a silver platter.
