    Getting to the 5th floor to get the day shift's pager from my friend, and we get to talking..She's trainging this new guy and they're cleaning bed 1 and there's a patient in bed 2 with her curtains closed..So we're talking and we THINK we're being quiet.. She asks how my trip to Denver was this weekend and I tell her it was cool, that the only times I'd seen Denver was riding the bus to get out here this past Spring and in 95 when I got lost there looking for Morrison..we laughed about that and got to talking about Red Rocks and the new guy asked who I had gone to see at Red Rocks in 95, and I said.. Pearl Jam.. and like I said we thought we were being quiet enough to not disturb the patient in bed 2..But from behind the curtains comes this tiny voice all happy and says.. Did you say you went to see Pearl Jam?!!?!? I've seen PJ 4 times in Little Rock Arkansas!! so we talked PJ for a minute.. Totally made my day and got me through the shittiest night I've had in a while there!!

    You know when you have those times when you're stressed, the whole world is getting on top of you and then you have the biggest row with someone, you know you're right, you cry because you're frustrated and no one seems to be listening?

    And then you have that moment, that moment of clarity that says You are you. No one and nothing can take that away. Be proud of who you are; life's too short to be anything else.

    Well, that. It happened this morning.
