Wow, that's a first on the board for me. I don't think that happens every day.

i love this album and i think it deserves love from more fans.
i wish pj played more songs live from this album
I also love it a lot. Music taste of people can be different and I respect that. I have some PJ songs I don't like much but who in this world produces perfect in each time? And I also don't like people who constantly rate albums btw one another; compare musicians etc etc. The world would be boring if we didn't have diversity which can involve not perfect things as well. I don't know I just find it silly making a reference point in everything we try to evaluate. I do it too sometimes but why do we do it bugs me
Living is no laughing matter: you must live with great seriousness like a squirrel for example - I mean without looking for something beyond and above living, I mean living must be your whole occupation.

I have to say that Riot Act is probably my 3rd favorite album by the guys. Would choose Ten, Vs and Riot Act as my favorite. RA is on constant replay on my iphone & ipad. (Not knocking the other albums which are great as well)

Riot Act, for me, is one of PJ's best albums....I love it!!!!!!!0

I have nothing against Riot Act
There isn't one PJ release that I could say I never listen to or that I find disappointingDon't come closer or I'll have to go0 -
I've grown to really love RIot Act over the years. Even the B-Sides (down, undone, and otherside were great!)
And I also don't say my favorite album is Yield because "it's cool to say" as someone else suggested. I say it because it's my favorite.
However, all the others are a close 2nd

The Waiting Trophy Man wrote:My first problem is that there isn't enough Stone and Mike, and I have never heard anyone mention this about the album before. Matt actually has more songwriting credit than either one of them! Mike's contributions are practically nil. The only song he gets any credit for is Save You, but then again so does the rest of the band; that song was very co-written. Not big on the Matt Cameron songs You Are and Get Right, at all. Also, there's just not enough noisy rockers for me, especially on an album with 15 tracks. Thumbing My Way is one of my least favorite ballads - and this band can do ballads like no other. Overall the lyrics don't blow me away, probably because Eddie didn't write them all(I do love the occassional lyrics from the other guys, but it has to be mostly Eddie lyrics). And then of course there's Boom......he has grown on me over time, but I wasn't crazy about him being on the album.
For me, Riot Act is sub par in comparison to their other albums. Overall their 90's albums were the best, just like the Stones put out their best stuff in the 60's. I love a handful of tracks from RA(especially I Am Mine and All or None) but overall I find it pretty weak and I enjoy it the least - by far.
Mike's contribution was in some amazing fret work - just check out Half Full, All or None and the end of Help Help!!!2000: Manchester

I like Riot Act quite a bit. Now if Down, Undone and Otherside were to replace Help Help, Bu$hleauguer and Arc, it would go down as an unbelieveable album but those three songs that were put on there push it down the wrung for me. Still, alot of great, great tunes on thereR and R Station - Mar 26, 1992 ** Alpine Valley Music Theatre - Aug 29, 1992 ** Summerfest Milw - Jul 08, 1995 ** Summerfest Milw - Jul 09, 1995 ** Alpine Valley Music Theatre - Jun 26, 1998 ** ** Alpine Valley Music Theatre (E.V. at Tibetan Freedom Concert) - Jun 13, 1999 ** Alpine Valley Music Theatre - Oct 08, 2000 ** Alpine Valley Music Theatre - Jun 21, 2003 ** United Center - May 16, 2006 ** Summerfest - Jun 30, 2006 ** Riverside Theatre Milw (Eddie Solo Tour) - 2008 ** United Center - Aug 23, 2009 ** The Chicago Theatre (Eddie Solo Tour) - Jun 29, 2011 ** Orpheum Theatre MN (Eddie Solo Tour) - July 2, 2011 ** Alpine Valley Music Theatre - Sep 03, 2011 ** Alpine Valley Music Theatre - Sep 04, 20110 -
I don't know what it is about that album. It has got some of my fave PJ songs - save you, Green disease, LBC, and 1/2 full. But as an entire album I don't listen to it very often.
