Hmmmmm, they would have been groovy, if done like that for the original release, but I'm not about to go and buy a CD I already have because it's yellow and looks like an LP .
The first thing I always think when a band releases a 'Best Of' album is pretty much that they need some $$, but can't be fucked working on anything new

PJ's 'best of' came out just after PJ left Sony. Sony did the exact same thing with Silverchair too.

Didn't stop me from buying the 2 of them though :o or Powderfinger's either :o

i think most contracts a band get from a record label are for a certain amount of releases + a best of.

and normally the record company own the right to the songs anyway so even years after a band has broken up or whatever the label can release a best of and the band see very little money from it.

it was still part of their contract with sony though which i think was something like 6 studio 1 best of. i think they didn't have to do lost dogs but they did, which would have got sony some sales.

Oh yeah.....I buy them all too....but that's just what I think when a band/singer/record company does it :)
