Hmmmmm, they would have been groovy, if done like that for the original release, but I'm not about to go and buy a CD I already have because it's yellow and looks like an LP .threefish10 wrote:Yeah, like those crappy re-releases they did a year or so ago where they made the cd look like a vinyl

The first thing I always think when a band releases a 'Best Of' album is pretty much that they need some $$, but can't be fucked working on anything new :rolleyes:0 -

PJ's 'best of' came out just after PJ left Sony. Sony did the exact same thing with Silverchair too.
Didn't stop me from buying the 2 of them though
or Powderfinger's either

i think most contracts a band get from a record label are for a certain amount of releases + a best of.
and normally the record company own the right to the songs anyway so even years after a band has broken up or whatever the label can release a best of and the band see very little money from it.condescending and sarcastic since 19800 -

it was still part of their contract with sony though which i think was something like 6 studio 1 best of. i think they didn't have to do lost dogs but they did, which would have got sony some sales.condescending and sarcastic since 19800 -
Oh yeah.....I buy them all too....but that's just what I think when a band/singer/record company does itOz Jammer wrote:PJ's 'best of' came out just after PJ left Sony. Sony did the exact same thing with Silverchair too.
