    Morning all :)

Its a fab day here on the Goldie... had some freaky marble size hail stones yesterday.... but im ok!

So today I have decided I must make a decision on my lyrics for my tatt... and have decided I might try to get the tattooist to use Ed's handwriting as the font... think that would be cool

How many lines/words you planning on getting? And are you getting Pearl Jam lyrics?
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

Good stuff - hopefully that never happens again. I believe 101% that the reason Syd 2 was so shit was the no 10c seating. Whilst I had a blinder behind the soundbox (was in my own little world and had a good pocket of about 20 going off) I still have nightmares about the night. If I had anything thrown at me I wouldve been happy to miss the concerts in return for someone eating my fist!

Joel hope you had an awesome birthday mate. Perfect timing after the hard yakka!!

Thoughts on Big Brother - none.

But I do have a good idea for a reality show. Get 10-20 (largish) people in a house. Make sure they have no area to exercise. Build the house so that you never have to walk more then 5mtrs to do anything. Arm them with PS2's and heaps of dvds. Have unlimited supply of food (which only includes chew-and-spew, KFC etc and definitely no veggies or salads), Make them smoke dope constantly so they get the muchies.....and see who can die first from obesity or a heart attack.

    U have a warped mind...LOL...:p

Yeah I know. Sorry I got abused by a big lady yesterday and I was envisaging her going into the house. (amongst other things).

Reckon Ive got some anger issues at the moment. Took some amphetamines(?) on the weekend and boy am I in a bad mood - havent done that for a long time. An hour boxercise class just fixed that. The poor guy I was hitting. My heart rate got up to 165 and after 5mins of rest I was still at 130 - heart attack material. Think Ill study el-natural next time.

Im secretly trying to take Ziggys mantle of being the biggest grump and complainer in here :D

well ... that might not necessarily be such a bad/scarey/um insert another-descriptivey-type-word-here thing.

:) have any of you here ever had a nite out in a small country town pub? full of council workers/shearers/unemployed bogans. At one point in my hometown we had a population of 1200 and 4 licensed pubs and two clubs. the nitelife was... lets say it was interesting ;)

since then, we've grown a little in size and one pub has closed, but its still a funny place to go out - in fact its a shame ive timed my holiday slightly wrong. picnic race day is saturday - i could have invited everyone round to throw a swag down in the backyard - the boys would have all learnt invaluable lessons that would have transformed their social skills, and us girls - well the girls would never ever take for granted that local club on your corner again.....

    :)

and vital - you can be as mean to me as you like, i will still add you.

Lyrically i've always loved I Got Shit, mainly:

my lips are shakin' my nails are bit off
been a month since i've heard myself talk

    and

i got memories i got shit
    so much it don't show

    and

got all these questions don't know who i could even ask,

but i like the live version where he says "don't know who the fuck i could ask"

EDIT: this is brilliant as well:
so i'll just lie alone and wait for the dream
where i'm not ugly and your lookin' at me
    and i stare you back
oh blue eyes, i've seen it
if just once i could feel love
oh stare back at me, yeah..

and the last line, i can just feel his emotion and pain:

i paid the price never held you in real life.

Plus if i ever lost anyone, Come Back and light years are two of the best lyrics ever written.

but yeah i think i just want to get "Nothingman" tattooed onto like the back of my neck.

I would still like the cross surfboard tatt.......
but Im a sooky la la...........:p

Hey perhaps we should find a good PJ tattooist and make a pact and all head off together...but Im not going first....LMAO..:p

I wish I was up at the Gold Coast ... I watched Powderfinger this morning and it looked like it was still summer up there. We've had torrential rain in Sydney for the past three days and it's getting cold. I want summer back ... I'll even put up with the cicadas again! :(

  • ahhh, did I tell everyone that the weather here today is magnificent!!

Lindy, we only had about 1 hour of rain and hail the other day :p dont worry, if you do get wet it will be gone as quick as it came!

I was still sleeping when PF played this morning. I should have got my butt there! but some of us do have to work on this fine public holiday....:(

WE get so lucky here in winter.... it does get cold, but its really nothing. Thats why I just cant leave this place now.... the weather in winter is great!

Thats the hard part mate... finding the right person.
There's a guy at work, well actually a couple of em who just had some work done by different artists and their tatts came out great! I think im gonna go to a few places and get a vibe... see who gets the mot excited about it... and go with them. If its just another Tat to them, then im out the door.

EDIT : I have been watching far too much Miami Ink!

different artists, and apparently the difference in the quality of the ink they use.

when i got my second tatt about 2 yrs ago, i pointed out my first to the guy doing the work. First one was about 10 yrs old or so, but is now sort of 'washy looking' - not nice & crisp and i wondered if it was an aging thing. its high on my hip, and doesnt get a lot of sun there, or anything like that.

he showed me the exact same problem with some work done by two different artists on his arm sleeve - both about the same age, but one crisp and one washy, and said it came done to the quality of the ink they used.
I asked if the washy one could be recoloured to brighten it up a bit, but apparently no. i still do wonder about that tho.

he did a nice little black celtic sun design on my left ankle and its still dark and crisp.

i guess you really need to look at work that a particular artist has done, especially over a few years or so, and see how its looking. not much point in getting a nice design thats going to turn to shit a while later.

and...sleeping while powderfinger played on the beach - huh???? the kids had to march, so i guess we had to be up

Hello all, hope everyone is having an enjoyable Anzac Day. It's raining here right now, which is verye xciting for me and my garden because I've held off watering for the last few days because a) I'm a lazy arse and the buckets get freaking heavy after a while, and b) the stupid weather bitch kept promising me rain and then not delivering, although it was really pissing down just before so it must have been saving itself up!!! Off to poker tonight, hoping to do better than the lousy 12th place i got last week, was a bit rusty so there's definitely room for improvement!!!
I heard on the news SE qld got a hammering Tig, with soem places getting 40mm of rain in an hour! Hope that was over the Hinze Dam!! Anyway, not much else is happening here, the boys arw watching footy and I'm about to go attack more red cardboard for these wedding invitations, what an exciting life I lead!
