I don't really like the whole retaliation thing with HBPs in the MLB. It's dangerous in that it gives all the power to the pitcher. Getting hit with a baseball that fast is dangerous and shouldn't really be a part of the game apart from it happening accidentally. That said, I still liked seeing CC sticking up for his teammates. Probably makes me a hypocrite, but whatever. And he knew what he was doing, so I'm glad he didn't chuck a 95 mph heater right at someone's head. He just wanted to send a message. He seems to have a cooler head than a lot of other pitchers.

Also, this isn't a goddamn war battle. At the end of the day, it's just baseball, as hard as it is for some to believe. No reason to wish physical harm upon opposing teams.

it's stupid that this actually happens in the al where the pitcher himself would never face any kind of retaliation.

What's my prize for having common sense?

The sense is rising to the top ... I dig that.

If you're at any of the Western Canada PJ shows, first beer's on me.

Yeah, after starting 2 - 10 and y'all having a long fucking laugh about it, the Red Sox are on a tear and eating the Yankees lunch. And embarrassing them at home.

And if you can't beat them on the scoreboard, you're all on a mission to see them just hit Red Sox players in retaliation.

I see clearly what's going on.

It's been three pages of this ... and barely any mention of, you know, winning the damn game.

Again, you sound just like the Red Sox fans you loathe. This is EXACTLY what Sox fans sounded like all those years the Yankees were the gods of baseball.

    Think about that.

i don't know if I'm in that group. I try not to say much. But there comes a time when enough is enough. Especially with beckett and ortiz. And I've always been a pessimist.

On a lighter note. Do you think Al Sharpton will boycott the Yankees broadcast booth because O'Neill preferred white bats over black one's? Comedy fail

Ok, just explain to me one thing:

How come swisher wasn´t charged with an error this inning. If he would have caught that ball at first charge, ortiz would have stopped at third, me thinks.

These yankee players should write down somewhere tonite. That´s how you get back at a team that hits your batters.

Ortiz after an intentional HBP in the game: 2 H, 2 RBI in the 7th alone.

I don't understand this. Becket hits Jeter and then A-Rod and doesn't get a warning, but once CC hits Ortiz, the ump throws a warning.
