you couldn't still root for the yankees and just not be a fan of theirs?

its kind of similiar to eagles fans and vick. tons of people still despise vick but they are still eagles fans. that's understandable. then a small percent just gave up on the team as a whole because of him....and you know what i think of those people ;)

I had a tough time adjusting to Damon in pinstripes. Obviously was a fan of his but it took some time. I agree, Ortiz is different, I would be a fan of the Yankees but couldn't be a fan of his. Good thing, there's no chance of it happening as long as Montero is still in the organization.

Vick is a little different. I think that's understandable. Although if those people tried to come back to the Eagles if Vick won with them, that would be a problem.

I hated Damon after Game 4 of 2004. It took me time to get used to him.

And not that awards really matter but how does Ellsbury get comeback player of the year over Colon? Sure he had a better year, but it was a better year because last year he was injured. Colon hadn't pitched in the big leagues in a couple years and had a solid season.

I would say Colon is the definition of "Comeback Player of the Year." He had completely dropped off the baseball planet.

Agreed. I don't get it. I mean Ellsbury had a great year but he was injured last year, not the same thing as Colon. Oh well.

Berkman is a great choice though.
