Living in Canada, these are my thoughts. I have ordered stuff through the ten club wanting to support the band, rather then buy it at an hmv. The last straw for me was when I ordered the Backspacer vinyl which of course I didn't get until atleast a month after it's release. Funny thing is I worked at an HMV at the time and got to look at the vinyl sitting there for sale everyday for a month until i received mine. I decided then I would not be ordering something from the ten club I could get somewhere else. Live on ten legs came around and I almost ordered it from here cos I was excited. I decided to hold off while my friends ordered from here and paid high shipping charges. I decided to buy the boxset on amazon.ca. I ended up getting free shipping and paying 17 more dollars for the boxset then what my friends paid for the regular vinyl on here. Oh and mine showed up a month earlier then my friends. The Vs/Vitalogy box I obviously had to get through 10 club because it's nowhere else, and that's perfectly fine. Yeah, it's going to be awhile before i see mine, but atleast I am getting it. I went into this not expecting to get this on time due to the history with other items I have ordered from here, so I am not really upset. I am just thankful I will have another box beside my Ten one. I have nothing against the 10c, they obviously work really hard at pleasing everyone. But like I said above unless it's a 10c exclusive I won't purchase from them. Again, just my thoughts

God, just heard a bit of Hold On acoustic on Legacy Records pod. Wow, this is a mindblowing version of one of my all-time fave gems, just stunning.

I've heard it too and can't get enough of it. Have ordered the Deluxe CDs package through here. I'm in Australia so not sure when I'll get it. :? :)

hey, you got me there. Is that how they ship to canada. Are you sure? Or did I misunderstand your post? seattle-australia-england-canada?

I'm not a hundred percent sure, but some fellow Canadians have reported seeing New Zealand post marks and Royal Mail postmarks (UK) on their Ten Club purchases so yeah, it's not a highly efficient system considering we share a physical border with the US. I did end up sending a note to Ten Club like you said, so I'm curious what they'll say. It's just frustrating when I actually priced out a 9 lb 13x13x4 inch box on UPS and the shipping costs to Edmonton were less than $30 guaranteed by Thursday, but we won't see it until May with the chosen method while the rest of the world may actually get it in March because Sony chose a better method than the club. An entire month longer than everyone else!!!

In regards to Hinsey's comments, I've actually started doing the same. Starting with LO10L, I decided to no longer buy things from the club if they are available anywhere else. It was nice to actually enjoy the album on release date in the Super Deluxe package for virtually the same price I would have paid for just the vinyl and CD through the club on pre-order (due to marked up shipping during pre-order despite no advantage gained by pre-order shipping). It's just that we didn't have a choice for this one if we wanted the item and that is why I'm a little frustrated that they've goosed us on the shipping.

I totally hear where you are coming from.

My experience with 10C has nearly always been very good in terms of getting things shipped out. It certainly costs a lot though but I've resigned myself to the fact that it just comes with the territory of being a non-US fan of this band.

The only gripe I have this time is the unfolding drama with the shipping from Sony. I appreciate what 10C is trying to do by getting international shipping done through Sony as Sony can supposedly do it cheaper even if it is not "cheap" - as I said, for me personally, I have just accepted it as part of being a non-US fan. But it would be nice to think that whoever 10C partners with to get things sent (and I can understand with something like this it may well have to be Sony and no one else), they can actually get them sent out on time, as promised. I can't say from personal experience or that I have a full understanding of the whole issue, but it seems just from what I read on the LO10L box / Universal drama, that was just another example of how, with all of 10C's good intentions, it just doesn't actually seem to happen the way it should and that is just an all round disappointing experience.

As I said in an earlier post, while I am frustrated with just waiting around, I want to reserve my judgement until I hear back properly from Sony to see what the problem is and what can be done about it. I am confident I will STILL get my box somehow, someway, some day, but just to quote another poster, who quoted Tom Petty: indeed, the waiting IS the hardest part. For everyone who has got the box or are about to get them, dig in, enjoy but think about us lot waiting around for good news to hit our inboxes.

    Hello All,

Am I right in thinking that all those in the UK have paid £156 (USD$250) for this?

    Happy Jamming!

Ohh.. the anticipation is killing me... I wish I would at least get a shipping confirmation!! Ten's Special Edition showed up 2 days later than release for me in Cincinnati... was quite disappointed. Better not be like that, this time!?! Or when No Code gets this treatment, I will just go buy it from Best Buy instead.

Yes, thought if you ordered in the 1st few days of the pre-sale you could have got it for £130 - something to do with Sony messing up the VAT/Taxes charge I think.

I've not ordered my boxset yet - ordered the Editors boxset from Sony thats out today as well. £130 for that and I think thats better value for money than Vs/Vitalogy - 12" 100 page photo-art book, 7 cds, 7 heavyweight LPs & 7 downloads of the 3 studio albums plus b-sides album

I've checked with them yesterday just in case and got a version of the "suck in our system" version. We'll see but it sounds suspicious.
At least they haven't charged us yet.

Basically, I thought I was dealing with the 10C and when I saw "Paypal" I said to myself: "My God! Paypal=No bank fees!" Since the conversion Euro/Dollar is quite expensive.

    I later realised I purchased at Sony.com.

It sounds like a LO10LGate.

To be honest, I'd rather them say: "We're sorry! We didn't get them on time." Or "We apologise for the inconvenience, but we lacked organisation." Instead of this bull***t.
