Well, I've been getting way over them lately and this, along with the PJ20 gig which is sure to be as far away from here as possible, and the rumored Canadian tour, again as far away as possible, may have just been the excuse I needed.
Why in the hell should I be so loyal to a band/person who obviously holds a large portion of their fanbase in such contempt? They have had plenty of experience at driving away fans. I see the trend continues.DAL-7/5/98,10/17/00,6/9/03,11/15/13

Bubbles, you don't even own the land your shed is on... consider yourself lucky we haven't run you outta here!
Well... it looks like we've been snubbed by Mr. Vedder yet again... sometimes I wonder why I bother to like this band, caus this boycott of the south is really tasteless...
I mean if Chris Cornell can start his acoustic songbook tour with dates in Austin and Houston that sold out within minutes (yea, that's right, minutes) of going on sale... what the fuck is eddie's problem...
I'm going back to my trailer to hit the bong... fuck this...Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.0 -

I'm prety close to saying fuck it too. I really do have a life, and it will continue with or without seeing the band. 2 of the shows I have been to cost me less than a grand, Denver (7 hour drive) and Salt Lake City (2 hours away). The rest of them could have went to something that makes more sense... my kids' schooling, my self, my IRA...
I think my money is better spent on high end mtn bikesSo no more, Seattle, Los Angeles, Hawaii... (maybe)
I'll just travel where the fuck I want and not worry about tying in a PJ experience when I go.
Any recommendations for the south?"...would you like some forks?" EV 12-02-060 -

Are you really surprised by this? I for one am not...  "Then the Spirit of God hovered over the water, and God said, Let there be music, and there was Pearl Jam."

I feel so sorry for you guys... again :(
I'm headed Deep South for my honeymoon and we were hoping to catch a show or two while we're over... looks like it won't be PJ or Ed, that's for sure :(Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.0 -

Not surprised. Not even really mad. Just . . . . disappointed. And just feeling kind of done with the whole thing now. Enough is enough. People keep saying don't take it personal, but after 8 years, I am sorry. It is becoming personal. For one of the largest metro areas in the nation to just be continuously ignored is just . . . I don't know. I am just very disappointed.DAL-7/5/98,10/17/00,6/9/03,11/15/13

I gotta say, I have similar emtions... And no, not surprised, just dissapointed, and a little angry.
Why the fuck should I be so loyal to a band that obvisously doesn't give a shit a large portion of their fanbase? it is fucking ridiculous.
I have spent thousands, I mean literally probably around $5000 traveling to see this band in the last 3 years... there comes a point where it's not fucking worth it anymore.... and I'm very near that point...
I mean not even Austin???? The live music capital of the USA??? Gimme a fucking break.Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.0 -

How about this--> :shock:
I can't even think of a reason to say a word now. It's gotta too unbelievable!
I'm spending the money I saved for PJ/EV concerts this summer and I'm buying some really nice bicycles for us and whatever else I want with that money, and they're not getting it. I'm tired of pouring the money I save into PJ/EV's pocket when they won't even take the time to come down here. Or, anywhere NEAR here.
I know it won't matter to their bank accounts, but it matters to mine. :(&&&&&&&&&&&&&&0 -

This is why I haven't been able to see them for 7 years.0 -
Well this sucks. It's not that I had high expectations for this announcement, but I expected a little more than some tour dates of places hundreds of miles away from me. My hope of seeing some form of a show this year is fading unless we get lucky as hell with PJ20, which I doubt. Not even an Atlanta show? Come on Eddie, I understand not playing Charlotte or either of the Carolinas, but you are completely avoiding some major markets here.PLAY THE SOUTH0

I think I've lost all faith that the band (or Eddie for this particular matter) will ever tour the South significantly ever again. I try not complain much about this point on here just due to the amount of shit that is given to anybody who makes a logical complaint no matter how well thought out it might be, but this shit has just become disheartening. We are the facilitators of our own creative evolution.--Bill Hicks0
