sounds like something being thrown against the twitter wall to draw some attention.. hard to believe Perez once dominated the Yankees in a 2002 interleague game at San Diego.

and a couple of years ago also or maybe 3 years ago.

The problem is, everyone looks back to 2004 (and 2007 to lesser extent) and wants that Ollie Perez ... but that Ollie Perez is never coming back.

    2004: 12 - 10, 2.98 ERA, 196 IP, 239ks, k/bb ~3.0, WHIP 1.15

    That, at age 22!

Almost makes me feel bad for the guy.

So Forbes came out with their annual valuations of each team. Yanks in at $1.7 billion, 86% more than the 2nd place Red Sox. This has risen from only 12% more than 2nd place Baltimore in 1998.

The Yankees, YES and Legends Hospitality are worth $5.1 billion combined.:lol::lol:

Yeeaah, I don't think we have to worry about the payroll declining any time soon.

What number does Albert Pujols where?

    5. Which is retired, for Joltin' Joe Dimaggio. Pujols should just wear like 99, about the only number not to be retired ;)
    32 shows and counting...

Speaking of numbers that are left, who gets theirs retired from the 90's teams on. I love this debate.

100%: Jeter, Mo, Arod (A lot of people may disagree with this but when all is said and done he is going to be at the top over every yankees list, pretty much)

    Others: Pettitte, Posada, Bernie, Torre

If I had to pick two out of there it would be Pettitte and Bernie. Such a hard decision though. Don't know how you can leave Posada and Torre out but that is just a lot of numbers to retire from one team/generation.

Yeah, I thought about it but I just don't think he was there long enough and you have to cut it off somewhere. He was the man though.

Remember LaTroy Hawkins was wearing it a few years back and was getting absolutely harrassed by the fans. I think he switched a few weeks into the season.

Also sounds like Mitre is the odd man out. If they go with Garcia over Colon, I don't see anyway they can take Mitre over Colon for the long man spot.

maybe they'll retire that throughout the game for Roberto Clemente someday.
