eddie vedder tix $94.50!

i understand that some people cant afford or think the price ticket is to high...and have the right to say their opinion
for me is ok...seems cheap when i think how much will cost me the trip ...
but i think if someone wants to go the price will not stop him...if you go to 2-3 shows a year you can control your money to buy the ticket..in the end,its not your food...its your entertainment...nothing bad will happen if u dont go to ed shows..

Very nicely put. I'd like to think that a well thought out and well considered post such as this would put a lid on this topic ..seems unlikely though.

And I stick by the fact that you can pay double this cost to go and see theatre. At the end of the day it's a night out - once in a blue moon. You are gonna enjoy yourself. a lot. I would allow myself this luxury. I'm not rich - far from it but I would consider this a bargain.

I also feel for anyone who simply can't afford it. Because that sucks. Big time. But sadly shows cannot be priced on that basis.

Personally I go to see Mamchester United a fair bit. In the south stand it's now the equivalent of $75 a game. 90 mins. 76000 people every game. I've cut back a bit, not through cost but through the fact I found myself at some games a little bored when the game was flat...

I don't think I would ever say the same about Ed ved. Strange comparison maybe. Perhaps unfair as I've seem man Utd maybe a 1000 times. But it's all entertainment and I see far greater enjoyment in watching Eddie do what he does. On that logic I'd pay in a heartbeat.

Id like to think its because they prefer to tour less and that they are more generous paying their employees and road crew rather than a green disease. Ohhhhhh Jeanwah, I was only busting some chops. I look at it this way. It is the way it is. Prices go up on everything. It's really no surprise. That’s the way it is. I have been fortunate enough to afford countless posters that will never see a frame, over 30 shows, 5 PJ beanie's (to fit my large cranium), bought 12 blue fixer 45's...and burned 10 of them so there can only be 17 in circulation then went to an EV show and left during ARC because he played the night before.

I have no idea where I am going with this but I was only messing around. No hard feelings.

If they sell out are they really charging too much or just too much for some?

They are charging to much based on their early beliefs of keeping prices down I am sure are most people's points of view in this thread. Didn't they worry about having this exact problem at one time? Where some fans would be priced out?

I am all for capitalism though and setting the price that people will pay. However, I think it just makes the early statements from the band look hypocrticial now. If they could go back in time, I wonder if they would have ever said them knowing what they have become.

I just paid 85 bucks to fill the tank in my truck. 15$ more to see Eddie vedder live for two hours at the bushnell in Hartford? Sure why not.

So this is basically people who can't afford to go, complaining to the rest of us and blaming the band on inflation?

Energy better spent writing your local government Representative if you ask me.
