    For those that are worried, what I'm reading is it's only a tsunami watch for Cali, Oregon and north ... Mexico and South America have a warning.

    (and of course, my knucklehead friends are on facebook gearing up to go "tsunami surfing" later ... :? )

    of course they are. I was wondering if a legit surfer could be dropped on that wave how long they could last since you obviously couldn't get up on a wave moving that fast.

    8 people confirmed dead, I would imagine that is going to rise pretty damn quickly, unfortunately.

    Vancouver is buffered by Vancouver Island, if there were a tsunami i'm not sure how it would work if it would channel up georgia strait... But Tofino and Ucuelet are equipped with tsunami escape routes.
    fifth and vedderfan10 are on the island.. you guys can surf it. when i'm over there i'm up on the mountain anyways... :]

    Anyways i don't think it'd amount to much here.

    EDIT: I seriously thought you said "Canucklehead"
    ....haha, thats why i said our vancouver island friends will do the surfing.

    Just read on the ticker that an earthquake in China killed 25 and has injured hundreds more :(

    Seriously though, has the Apocalypse started? Thousands of dead fish in Cali, birds falling dead from the skies, earthquakes, floods, drought, wars, and other social unrest. It's enough to make you go hmm :think: :wtf:

    Me too. But I watch Supernatural so I kinda blame that show as last season the storyline was about the Apocalypse :oops: :roll:

    we started growing our own vegies as preparation! Op-shop is a well known band here in N.Z. the lead singer is a real believer and has started building an ark!

    Hmm, looks like they upgraded a good portion of the US pacific coast to a tsunami warning ... first wave to hit San Francisco a little after 8 am.

    Damn. A friend of mine is in the Navy and his ship is deployed right now somewhere in the Pacific near Japan. I know he was in Japan a couple weeks ago. Hope everyone near there is ok.
