36 miles from Alpine could be 3 hours on a concert day. I live about 40 miles from AV and it took about that long for RATM in 2007.

Absolutely. Anyone who is forced to stay outside of Alpine Valley, for example in Milwaukee or Chicago is in for a rude awakening. Is Alpine Valley a gorgeous place, indeed. Does it make much sense? Not in my opinion.

Not just for the drive but for the fact that only 4500 members at the most will get seats. And with the lawn you might as well get a telescope.

  • Ive got an idea....

Some of you should worry about dealing with the next 6 weeks of winter....
Then go enjoy your entire Spring.....
    Then enjoy your entire Summer.....

And not worry about 1-2 concerts the might/might not be taking place at Alpine Valley in 6 months.....

    Booking flights??
    Booking airfare??
    Reserving campsites????

    Really???

    That is a little ridiculous.

Then, here's a marvelous idea- quit bitching about things that haven't even been announced officially.
Not everyone needs to get a skewed idea about everything because of your opinions.

Lets all just be happy and excited and make arrangements as needed.

Here is a poem I came across...

    The Right Kind of People

    By: Edwin Markham

Gone the city, gone the day,
Yet still the story and the meaning stay:
Once where a prophet in the palm shade based,
A traveler chanced at noon to rest his mules.
“What sort of people may they be,” he asked,
“in this proud city on the plains o’erspread?”
“Well, friend, what sort of people whence you came?”
“What sort?” the packman scowled; “why, knaves and fools!”
“You’ll find the people here the same,” the wise man said.
Another stranger in the dusk drew near,
And pausing, cried, “What sort of people here
in your bright city where yon towers arise?”
“Well, friend, what sort of people whence you came?”
“What sort?” the pilgrim smiled, “Good, true, and wise.”
“You’ll find the people here the same,” the wise man said.

People's experiences depend entirely on their attitude.

You may have missed it and we all complain about 10c not being the most forthcoming with info but back in 1996 in a fanclub newsletter, they did give us all the details, ticket prices and arrangements for PJs final ever show)(push ctrl and + to make it bigger)
