My family with a bitterness seeping to the core
How do you love someone that can barely stand
    the sight of you?
    Trials, trials and tribulations, love
Yet so many pieces to the jigsaw
    So many stories
    She can't let it go
    Bitterness infecting me
We're just circling the inevitable breakdown
Words never said, just stored up for when?
    Stored up for never
    Thoughts flash between us
    Too hurtful to be said
    Yet crackle in the air
And me when I'm psychic catch every one
An irreconcilable distance, becoming revulsion, resentment, regret?
    Something's brewing
And we can never quite bail out
So I seek my fresh air alone
I retreat and make myself scarce
And be glad I don't need to see you
    Until next time

    Beautifully written

I can feel this... you know
    but my instant thought...
I hope there is a next time,
someday... there won't be a next time.
I wish there was a fix to let the love in and heal
    maybe next time?
    maybe someday.

things are always so much different
    when seen by other eyes
hope you have a second chance
jump on it if you get it.
    peace,

Yeah it's not always so bad. Just how I was feeling last night! I know it didn't really fit with what had gone before here, but I didn't know where best to post this one. Thanks for your words Pandi. I think I'll be able to find some edifying words in the next few days. Life is alright. As long as you have some money for yourself and live in safety, life is usually alright!!

There is no fitting for words just put them down...please, we need them.

Your words truly tugged at my heart cause I could identify.
I grew up in shame, some things were never resolved and now won't be....
    not here.
But I have accepted this as me and it's ok. We were all ok.

Our relationships end but the love stays with us, thankfully.
    And thankfully the pain fades.

    Money means independence
safety implies overcoming danger, both important in making life alright.
But I hope for a life that is more than alright for you,
I hope for the very best!

Thanks! generally my life is great - I enjoy living on my own, I enjoy my work, for me having some money for myself allows me to be the person I want to be, live the life I want to live, and fuck the rest of them. I like how I can write from just about anywhere and earn my money to run my house, buy my records and write me poems!! The past is more difficult, and relationships - things are kind of simple looking after number one. I am troubled by my past and the past of others I have known, but now that all is cool for me, I am troubled by the thought of people living in the circumstances that I have had to survive, and people I have loved have had to survive. This sometimes keeps me awake at night, but fortunately my work allows me to do a little bit to 'make a difference' too. So life is alright for me, in fact it is 'good' - I feel for other people who cannot sleep safely tonight though. I have been there, many people have been there.

Bravo to you for helping others, for getting through the difficult times and sharing your experience and feelings through your lovely poetry. Your words and thoughts help more than you know, you are an example of hope.

glad that things are good with you Pandora, situations like that in my family too. Acceptance is the key, as is love.

    Weather on its way
    might bring some icicles
    for you and me.

    Icicles to challenge us all.

    Six foot icicles.

    Fatter than 2 small,
    mitten covered hands
    can reach around.

    Go on....
    Give it a try!

    Smooth and bumpy,
    see through,
    that they magically,
    can,
    distort the world.

    Believe it...
    Take a look and see!

    A cold phenomenon,
    hanging water.
    Drip, drip, drip.

    Stop....
    Listen to nature's beat,
    we'll do the icicle dance!

    A twisted treat
    for the young
    at heart,
    slips through the lips.

    Take one....
    It's yours,
    A guaranteed smile!

    And as they melt
    in the cold winter sun
    a fresh smell
    beckons Springtime
    Is
    just around the corner. :D

    Shelter from the Storm

Let the brutal form around us,
    life threatening is the chill.
    Cold hearts with ice daggers,
    performing at their will.

    Here safely in your arms,
    that melt the world away.
    Warm and soft in comfort,
    promising, we will stay.
