dude. you're the biggest nova hater i've seen in a while. you've followed me over to this thread too? your squad is st joes. if nova wins 18 games, it will still be about 6 more than that squad. beat it!

...oh, and it does not take a genius to figure out nova's overrated right now. everyone is saying it.

    st joes....

sorry Jaegs not following you around just love college hoops and love to talk about it. and yes i have an unhealthy hatred for nova but that doesn't mean i am wrong. and at least i am not a bandwagon fan like some (how many times last year did you say you were done with the Eagles like a fraud fan?). i like and follow my teams whether they suck bad like the hawks or are great like the Phillies. anyways since this is a Big East thread i am assuming i can talk about Nova here. Prediction for thursday, Temple 81 Nova 68. take the points Temple will be getting (i am assuming around 5) and jump on that money and use it to celebrate new years.

pjhawks, just like you and I have been saying...OVERRATED

    from Joe Lunardi

    17. I'll get killed for this, but Villanova may be the nation's most overrated team at this point. The 'Cats best win came against mediocre UCLA, and they were defeated handily by their only Top 50 opponent (Tennessee). We'll know more when 'Nova meets Temple later this week for the Philly Big 5 title.

Lunardi works at St. Joe's. probably hates the cats as much as i do.

I'm looking forward to St. John's conference opener Wednesday in West Virginia. I had some doubts after losing to St. Bonaventure and Fordham but beating Davidson and Northwestern helped improve my feeling about them, not that it was that high to start with.

lunardi's got them as an 11 seed in his latest bracketology. couple weeks old though.

big east could have around 9 teams in the tourney this year. that's nuts.

and nova is one of the worst top 10 teams i've seen in years. not just saying that because i don't like them. temple gives them a beat down on thursday and their demise begins.

I'd take that, a win like the one over West Virginia on the road certainly helps.

Either SF is good this year or UConn is really young to go into OT against them.

Georgetown is coming off a tough loss at Notre Dame, St. John's coming off two road wins and is at home. Sounds like a little more of the gambling community likes St. John's.

Thanks, glad to be back. Been way too long. I guess this truly is the winter of the basketball being re-born in my neck of the woods with the Knicks and St. John's. I'd love to see Seton Hall and Rutgers succeed as well to get the NY area buzzing even more.
