Ahh well, not looking good. There are worse things than losing to #4 in the country on the road without your best player.

And Joseph may play on Sat. This is clearly the best conference in the country with the Big 12 a distant 2nd.

nova needs cheek back for that one.

saw on the Nova message board that he had no tear in his meniscus and it's just swelling. I would think he would be back by saturday.

didn't see much of the game yesterday so can't really comment but like you surprised at Stokes' line. He had been lights out this year.

Pitt-Syracuse was a great game. Type of game to show someone what college hoops is all about. other than not going down to the wire. love the atmosphere, crazy on-campus fans, high level play, awesome high-def color, just great stuff.

Any game that involves a 19-0 run by one team followed up by a 17-0 run by the other is a GREAT game, imo.

Strong bounce back after that tough loss at UConn against a very good Syracuse team.

i did not expect them to get a win yesterday. that was so impressive.

they are playing much better much earlier than i expected this year. this is a better overall team than last year's squad.

Disappointing last two games for St. John's, but honestly it's not surprising. The seniors who are there have never won more than 17 or so games, so to me that means that while they have plenty of experience, the reality of the situation is that they're not top Big East players. As much as Steve Lavin has added interest to the program and as much as these players have helped restore some good character to the program, the bottom line is players execute what coaches direct them. I'm not writing them off for making the NCAA tournament, especially if they can beat Duke and UCLA and some teams like Pitt and Nova, but I'd be disappointed if they were not in the NIT.

they're a 10 seed in yesterday's bracketology. the cincy loss was rough though. but luckily st johns plays them again. definitely gotta split with them. might come down to one of these two teams as the last big east team in...

yeah. and maryland isn't all that good either, though they did nova a run for their money. i wish they still did that big east/acc challenge tourney before the season. big east would mop the floor with them these days...
