seems like every season, no matter who's in the game, if the opposing team gets a run going, SU inbounds the ball, dribbles it out, and without even 5 seconds burning off the shot clock, they throw up a despiration 3 when they should be working the ball inside to chip away at the lead...not try to get it all back in one shot. they did the same thing against marquette saturday. and then with less than a minute left in the game and they're down by 7 or 9 or whatever it was, they're getting it inside, when it's absolutely not going to do any good for them. makes me so angry.

jardine and jackson were quoted in the paper today saying that the team isn't dwelling on the 4 game losing streak, that they're just concentrating on UCONN......yeah, ok. ain't no way in hell that a 4 game skid isn't on every players mind.

on another note...big ups to st. john's for beating the shit out of shitty duke. anytime duke loses, it puts a smile on my face.

Rival game tonight between UConn and Syracuse!

    they're not penske material!

i'm equally nervous/excited about this nova game tonight. love the fact that it's at the dupont as opposed to the wfc. they hardly ever lose at the dupont. but this marquette team is better than their record.

nova's gotta go 2-1 at least prior to the pitt showdown next weekend..... :shifty:

They played like absolute shit tonight. They have no inside game at all. I don't even know what Okwandu and Oriakhi are doing when they're on the floor.

pj hawks was right though....that was a BAD time to play syracuse.

nova should have put this game away tonight. too close for comfort at the end. but nice to get back in the winning column.....

    CUSE IS BACK.

these past couple of weeks on campus have been BRUTAL. glad that we can welcome the boys home tomorrow with smiles on our faces.
Beavis: All my friends are brown and red? What does that mean?
Butthead: It means that his friends are like turds and that they like suck.
Beavis: Heh heh. Oh yeah. Yeah! Get those spoons out of my face before I shove them up your butt!
    Butthead: Huh huh.

went to the St. John's-Rutgers game last night. Good thing you didn't bet St. John's, which was favored by 9 1/2, which I felt was too high of a line.

saw that game was at the fieldhouse, didn't think they played Big East games there anymore. What that a one time thing or do they still play a few there?

They play usually three or four non-conference games there, plus some of the early non-conference schedule. They renovated it a few years ago to add the new scoreboard and seats with backs on them in the lower level.

i like wvu. they're a decent come coming off a throttling at the hands of the mighty wildcats playing at home in a rivalry game. pitt's due for a loss...

wvu can't score without mitchell playing more. if he only plays a few minutes tonight like he did against nova not sure they can score enough. wvu has been terrible offensively the last few games with him suspended. BUT this line is telling me something. usually unusual lines like this vegas is spot on. i'd probably stay away from the game because of the points above. but they do really hate Pitt so should be a wild atmosphere

line's baiting squares to take pitt. wvu is the spot here. hope i'm wrong cuz i don't wanna play pitt coming off a loss. should be a great one. too bad i'm at work late on mondays. :x

and i would think mitchell will def get more PT tonight. not like he's hurt or anything. huggins was still punishing him by making him come off the bench saturday.

I don't know about West Virginia. Maybe I'm biased because I picked them to have more three pointers than the margin of victory in ESPN's Streak for the Cash, but they were putrid against Villanova and should have dropped out.

and maybe a couple pounds lighter after sweating it out  vegas doesn't win everytime ;) wvu had their chances, especially with gibbs out (looks like he will miss saturday too). i'm glad i was wrong. rather not have nova play 'em coming off a loss, right? .......was thinking about heading down for the game. ticket prices are through the roof though.

now nova better not screw things up tomorrow night....
