  • Damn. Not even two months and your reign is over. Hope you enjoyed it!

Luckily for you we have until next October, but thanks for coming to our World Series party! :)

By the way, thanks for dusting this thread off! Remember when the Giants beat H2O and then they beat Clifford twice?!? Muhahaha!!

You didn't hear? It's gone, all gone. Just like any semblance of Bonds after the '07 season. Here's to hoping you guys even make the playoffs without needing everything possible to go your way. Luck is fun, I know, but that shit has officially run out.

I guess it's too bad that your Phillies lost the NLCS, buhahahahahaha!!:lol::lol: I guess there is always next year!!:lol::lol: The Giants got on a roll at the perfect time!

Hey, I'll give the Phils credit for going out and getting a guy that wanted to play for them. I do think Cliff is over-hyped this offseason. Jonathan Sanchez had a better e.r.a, record, and more k's and he's our number 4 starter! Cliff Lee's numbers weren't even that good. He had phenominal run support in Texas and went 4-6?! Come on man!I love what Jason Stark said on ESPN that the Phillies have a year or two to win with that rotation and then it's time for a change!

Just remember that the Giants beat the Padres, Braves, Phillies, and Rangers without a "bat" on the team! It was all about the pitching to win the World Series. We weren't even picked to come close in the NLCS! I guess it's too bad Philly choked!:lol::lol:

    1. too many emoticons.
    2. too many exclamation points.
    3. stark said that because oswalt's and hamels' contracts are up after next year/option would be kicked in. so some kind of change will inevitably have to happen. d. u. h.
    4. 86 wins next year. enjoy it.
oh, and 5....congrats on the burrell resigning

It's bad enough that you are comparing Lee to Sanchez, but you also fail to admit that Lee missed the first 2 months of the season. If you want to compare the two, use a sample size from when they were both pitching (like the last 4 months of the season).

Enjoy your WS title dude. Stop hating on the phils. You're acting like a gigantic turd in the punch bowl.

Seriously, as a phillies fan I could give two shits about the giants. Not sure why you have a hard on for the phils
  • 1. I couldn't resist
    2. Just picture someone yelling all of that at you!
    3. i like change
    4. 86 will probably win the division so I will take it!
    5. the same Pat the Bat that beat the Phillies! Like I said we don't need a great hitter :D

    GO GIANTS!!

Courtesy of Blake Rhodes: Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee, Roy Oswalt and Cole Hamels combined for a 2-5 WL record with a 4.18 ERA in 8 post-season appearances vs the Giants.

    Cody Ross in 25 at bats against those 4, hit .329. 8H, 5R, 3 2B, 3HR, 6RBIs

Our starters are as great if not better still, but the pen is the difference maker and ours is still far superior.

are you jealous that the spotlight has shifted so quickly from your squad? i'm happy you guys won the series. but, honestly, like fixer said nobody over here is even thinking of the giants at this point. sorry but it's true.

i don't have a dog in the race, but when you are teh defending champion (net the Marlins and their post WS break up parties), you pretty much have the floor until the first game of the reg season.

just like us OSU fans, we can bash MI for anouther year, regardless of what happens between now and next nov.

you're right. this just comes across as bitter that nobody seems to care about his team right now. guy's got nothing to be bitter about after october. he should just enjoy life.

    Just reporting in...

I think the Phillies whooping ass on the east side is a perfect compliment to the ass whooping our Giants will be giving on the West. ;) I hope...

I have to thank the Bo Sox and Mr Man Theo for enticing A Gonzo over from San Diego too. Should help a bit. And what the hell are the Dodgers thinking...? Juan Uribe was good with the Rockies, better with the White Sox, and peaked with the Giants. Can you say dissapointment looms?

The guy with 7 K's and a .211 average? You are completely clueless. Just watch the DVD's and enjoy your one year reign.
