Does Brian Wilson come in to House of Pain's Jump Around every time?

Just when I think he couldn't be any more of a tool I see something like this.

He hasn't always used it, but I'm pretty sure that's been his song for a few years now.

Not that I'm offended or anything but, I'm curious ... why does that make him more of a tool?

I just find it to be a played out, corny song. Actually fits him perfectly

A little off topic, but still on the subject of bay area baseball.

But congrats to the Cal Bears for making it to the College World Series for the first time since 1992 ... and under extrodinary circumstances.

In September, before the season started, the chancellor declared that several sports were doing to be disbanded, and one of them was the 119 year old baseball program. This was to be their last season.

Prior to the season ...the coach was reverse recruiting ... finding places at other schools for his kids to land.

A huge fund drive (see here ... http://www.savecalbaseball.com/ ) where the team needed $10M in private donations was launched. And luckily for them, eventually, they hit their goal (and have at least 8 years of a continuance).

But this stress has been on their minds all season (it was only announced in April that they were saved) ... and tonight, they won the super regional and are on their way to Omaha.

    So, kudos to them!!!

Helluva a day for Cal with Jason Kidd winning the NBA title as well. Though ex-Bear pitcher Brandon Morrow got ripped by the Red Sox Saturday.

    oh, shit. I hadn't heard that :x

they still have the pitching...but someone (anyone!) needs to carry the offense.

I'm actually amazed that we are still in 1st place. We keep winning games 1-0 or 2-1 thanks to pitching. I didn't realize how bad June was last year and how they picked it up in July and September. TORTURE!

It's so funny how stunningly different the baseball experiences are between two stadiums only 15 minutes apart.

There was a time in the early / mid 90s when Fenway park used to be like Oakland ... tickets day of the game, in the bleachers with room to spare. A nice 80+ degree day, sprawled out with a beer.

    RYEzupSF described it perfectly!

i always get my tickets on craiglist. I find much better deals...people trying to unload tickets on the same day. What days are you looking at? I can check with some of the people I usually get tickets from and see if they are selling theirs.
