The Final choice is Beantown Pub

Looks like a cool place

they open at 11am(Fri. & Sat.),they have beer,pool tables,decent moderately priced food & it's right around the corner from the Opera house.

    i used Google map and it seems to be the best choice (it's walking distance and they open at 11am.a lot of the other places don't open till 4pm)

    This sounds great.

    For all of those that want to just meet up with other fans and do a little pre-show drinking... we need to come up with a spot and stick to it. And it seems like you've done this. Yay!! It's less than two weeks away... I'll be there! :)

    The only thing I'm thinking is that this looks like it may get a really busy happy hour crowd. And it's a Friday night. Could be really difficult to "connect" with each other. Any ideas??

    I told my casual-PJ-fan friend that Ed was playing a solo show and I would try to get tickets. He said, "What does he play, stuff like Black and Daughter?"

    Uh, no.

    So I'm going to the show by myself and would love to meet up with some other fans. I work in downtown Boston, too, so if we needed to figure out anything with any of the bars I could drop by in person.

    i live a half hour from the venue but I'm taking the day off anyway so i can take the train into Boston early and make a day of it.(maybe a possible Ed sighting?:))

    i thought maybe once you're at the bar let the bartender know you're there to hook up with 10c friends and he/she could point us out.Or look for someone in a PJ shirt and we'll flock around him/her :D

    it's a pub which means they also sell food and soft drinks so you could go but you wouldn't be able to sit at the bar.
